>Caules was painfully forcing himself to speak coldly as he used his final Command Spell, Frankenstein realized the seemingly miraculous fact that “someone would feel sorrow over her death”. That was, without a doubt, the first precious and beautiful experience in her entire life.
The only interesting design on that chart. I thought the characters in this series were more imaginative, but none of these except the mentioned one really stand out. The thumbnail especially gives emphasis on her, because you can clearly see her tiny panties at that tiny scale. Black berserker is a contender, but the design is more ridiculous than anything.
holy shit, these ones look generic as FUCK.
It's more canon than Tsukihime at this point mate
We don't know, yet. We don't know anything beyond the fact that it has Servant attributes but should not have been summoned. The fact that it is in a container means that it can't be its 'true' incarnation, so it must have some weaknesses related to summoning and the Grail system.
Its written by Narita, the writing is solid. In the first place what makes or breaks Fate isn't "it sounds silly on paper" or else they all lose instantly, especially the ones written by nasu. Yet when you actually read them the ones written by Nasu are the best ones despite sounding the dumbest. What makes or breaks fate is the writing. In each Fate story to date that didn't work, the ideas probably could have worked under a different writer.
Usually the faults are that it was written boringly, the characters were too dry, too self insert, too cuck, or it was pointlessly edgy. Writers usually don't go big enough with it so it tastes kinda bland. The point with FSF though is that its a strange war, so everything in it is going to be outlandish.
So all these anons ranting ad nauseam about Apocrypha being the worst crap and its MC being terrible were just full of shit? I suspected it was the usual hyperboles, I'm glad I was right.
How come Prelati is able to summon himself in SF?
>mfw those two are completely different characters
Vive la France!
You may not have realized, there are japanese fans on 4chan. People keep posting translations, spoilers, pics and other bullshit, but they don't post the source link for them.
Not that anon but is Fate A really bad because of the way it's produced or is it the translating weebs fault?
>Also, originally in the Jumbo Jet Counter-Attack battle of volume 5, there were plans to have something like a “Massive Jumbo Jet Target Shooting scene where Karna readies himself and sticks his spear in the ground, and when Semiramis asks what he is doing, he says, 'Weapons are unnecessary. A true hero kills with his eyes!',” but it was too much of a ridiculous gag and it ended up being cut.
I hope to god they bring it back.
We've been talking about Apo for centuries on /fgog/ and he got assblasted because everyone told him how much of a dumpster fire it was, now he's back with a vengeance trying to imply that his bland, self-insert character is 'better than Shiki'.
Since /a/ knows jack shit about TM overall, he somehow gained credence because secondaries fell for the 'Shirou is a bad MC' meme
So long as you can put them in the right order, I won't berate you. But most secondaries are jumping in the 'hey, Sieg can't be worse than Shirou, right?' circlejerk, and will refuse to see reason even when the chain of asspulls will occur, and that does solidify the position of the autistic siegfag.
>will refuse to see reason even when the chain of asspulls will occur
>complaining about another MC winning from a chain of asspulls when almost every single victory in the FSN VN happens through shit aligning at the right place and the right time so that a human can beat boss-type Servants
There are no asspulls in F/SN. You might find that the reason behind certain events are contrived, but random Servants don't start killing themselves over the otherwise unremarkable MC in order to save his ass. If you were bothered by certain anti-climatic events in F/SN, you're gonna hate F/A.
>otherwise unremarkable MC
>fought the oppressors
>fused with a Servant
>became a Master
>acquired multiple NPs
>saved the world
What's not to like? Literally /ourguy/.
First volume of LN made me assblasted about Siegfried but second volume was good. Then it nostly goes off-rails.
The pacing in anime makes me think they will be condensing later volumes.
That's not what's happening in these threads at all. Deaths have been spoiled quite blatantly. And somehow only spoilers from the 5th LN which isn't translated fully yet are posted.
>books are generally disliked in Japan
>books are generally disliked by people who know Japanese
Instead of spouting sourceless sentences, post something concrete or no one will take you seriously.
>books are generally liked in Japan
>books are generally liked by poeple who know Japanese
>/a/'s EOPs keep saying it's bad
You see what I mean?
>no one spoils in these threads, we're looking out for anime onlys
>But that's bullshit
>Okay here's these completely unrelated unsourced assertions because I was talking out of my ass
>>no one spoils in these threads, we're looking out for anime onlys
Not the anon you're responding to, I never claimed no one does that, I am claiming I am not doing that. Excellent strawman otherwise.
Not the anon you're responding to, but who cares if you're not spoiling out of decency for who's watching the anime?
Everyone else is, so the "b-but we won't write concrete arguments because we would spoil the plot!" is ridiculous. Plus they could simply use
But it's clear most of them are just parroting what they've read when the best evidence they can provide is a generic "books are generally disliked in Japan" without even posting the source.
What is the explanation again why he doesn't curbstomp everything?
His mythos is basically early Shonenjump with way too much powerups.
Same I want to be hype and from what I heard the story is good or at least not any worse than what we usually get in anime but the adaptation just isn't up to the task. The cinematography is eh, the combat choregraphy is eehhh, and the editting is ehhhhhhhhhhh.
At least it's not as bad as FateGO but man is Apocrypha vastly inferior to Fate Zero. It just doesn't hold a candle to it.
There's no fucking way it was actually cut for being a gag when he uses eyelasers seriously in every other entry he's in. Higashide just couldn't think of a way for the jets to get close if Karna had homing eyelasers, so he made Karna not use them.
Every fight he's in is interrupted by something, he has to hold back to avoid killing his Master, and the one time he's allowed go all out he lets his opponent win. Also, heavily nerfed from the actual mythos.
the writing is pretty good, it is a shame that the directing is fucking shit.
what was A1 thinking when they gave this project to some shit director?
I cant watch this shit, the bland facial expressions are fucking shit.
and it is a real shame because the story is very interesting and so are the characters(as deduced by their dialogue).
arrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! thinking about how a1 ruined this show fucking pisses me off.
I would love to see what say studio nut would have done with the script.
>Shirou in Fate
Only projects a sword for Saber to kill Herk
>Shirou in UBW
Beats Gil because he is his counter. Archer wasn't trying to kill him instantly
>Shirou in HF
Basically servant tier
>Sieg in Apo
Siegfried dies for him. Fran dies to power him up. Achilles lends his Astolfo his OP shield to help him. Karna willingly jobs to him. Jeanne buffs him in detriment of herself
>Fight with Enkidu ends with a draw
>Enuma Elish got countered by Enkidu's Enuma Elish
>unleashed his GoB and can't even dent Alcides
>Alcides just stood there and brushed off his attacks.
Siegfrid chooses his own fate, though it was spurred a bit by Astolfo. Jeanne would help Sieg regardless, that's the person she is. Achilles does so cuz Chiron said so. Fran was already dead once, she gave Sieg her power because someone finally gave a fuck about her. If Karna had willingly jobbed to Sieg, they wouldn't have needed the shield.
The whole point of Siegfried being terrified of Karna at first was that he was not only the first person to hurt him after he got his armor, but that he did it with normal attacks.
>If Karna had willingly jobbed to Sieg, they wouldn't have needed the shield.
During their fight in melee, Karna had a clean shot at Sieg's weak spot that he could have used to kill Sieg, and he consciously refuses to take it because he wants Sieg to win even though Sieg was the one that exposed it in the first place.
He would literally be fucking invincible had he been summoned as Archer with the Vijaya bow.
Most famous heroes have tragic backgrounds or bad ends, only a few like Odysseus got to be happy with his waifu and family.
>Karna willingly to job to sieg
Isn't this like how emiya archer loses to emiya shirou on purpose? I recalled emiya archer could have death the finishing blow but he just couldn't right?
They wanted to fight and kill each other, not just fight. Karna had the perfect opportunity to conclude his fight with Sieg there and then, and refused to take it because he wanted Sieg to win. Which, incidentally, goes against part of Karna's personality as written in CCC, where he outright refuses to hand a victory to someone in any way because he feels like it sets you up for failure further down the line if you don't earn your victories.
Karna was against Amakusa the whole time, mats are pretty explicit about it. He stayed obedient because Semiramis was holding the Red Masters hostage, including the man that Karna saw as his only real Master, and if he acted out of line then they'd be killed. As far as I remember he ensures that Fiore saves the Red Masters during the attack on the Hanging Gardens, then goes off to fight Sieg and let him win because Amakusa still has a Command Spell left for Karna and he doesn't want to risk Amakusa using him any more. He went into the fight looking to die and give Sieg the victory.
Shirou has his master taken as hostage and he'll him if he tries to defy orders. He's only following Shirou's orders to keep his master safe and if he kills Seig, Shirou would make him commit suicide regardless and Shirou would use the grail to wipe out all the evils in this world which kinda sucks. Black team promised that they'll take down Marik and they'll save the red's masters, so he let Seig win.
It still took 2 servants with borrowed NPs, purposely missing and giving a window of opportunity to take him down.
>then goes off to fight Sieg and let him win because Amakusa still has a Command Spell left for Karna and he doesn't want to risk Amakusa using him any more. He went into the fight looking to die and give Sieg the victory.
So you are telling me Karna basically goes in to fight sieg in prepared without any backup? It ridiculous to think that it takes so much effort to take down karna at his weakened state
Intentional jobbing is still jobbing.
Apoc Karna in volume 5 is the strongest Karna we've seen to date. He's got his armor active and he's got functionally infinite mana, which removes his biggest weakness of being a massive mana hog.
Karna promised that she'd have five sons by the end of the war, whether he killed Arjuna, or whether Arjuna killed him. He fully intended to kill Arjuna many times, but Krishna fucked with stuff like making a sure-kill astra miss or using illusions to make sure Karna never fought Arjuna until he was forced to use Vasavi.
Karna was given Vasavi by Indra as recompense for asking Karna for his armor once all the other gods started giving shit to Indra for disgracing them, since he was the king of heaven yet he acted like a beggar. In Fate, Karna just never used it at all, but in the actual legend Karna intended to use it on Arjuna, but Krishna used illusions to keep Arjuna and Karna apart whenever they were close. Then after nightfall, he sent Ghatotkacha, who was half-asura, to the camps of the Kauravas. Since he was half-asura, he grew to immense size and became pretty much invincible at night, which was part of the reason that both sides agreed not to fight after sunset. He would have killed the entire army, so Karna bit the bullet and used Vasavi to kill Ghatotkacha, losing his one use of it.
It wasn't so much that he refuses to use it out of pride, but rather it's such a precious one use only weapon that he holds it back till it's absolutely necessary.
Yeah, but he didn't have his armor and he was nerfed by having a shitty Master.
Karna's Extella route is a pretty accurate rendition of how things would go if the narrative didn't force Karna to lose all the time.
That's Toole, she show ups again. There are some homunculi that are named and have minor roles.
In the case of Emiya, he wanted to break Shirou mentally and make him admit his ideal is wrong and then put him out of his misery, however it had the opposite effect and just made Shirou's ideal stronger which in turn sparked a small fire in Emiya. It's why he allowed Shirou to stab him as he accepted that Shirou won the battle that truly mattered and that Shirou will surpass him (which happens)
>sent out onto a battlefield wearing a skirt and high heels, no body armor to speak of, and armed with halberds and bows and arrows
>don't even dig trenches or take up fortified positions
It's like the Blacks wanted their foot soldiers to die.
Magical wars are silly. It's funny because in the Babylon chapter in FGO you see actual armies doing army stuff and using fortified positions and defensive tactics against bigger enemies.
JANNU IS FOR _____
Semiramis is an assassin that also has caster abilities but the red team has an actual caster - you saw him in this episode speaking with Shirou and Assassin after Sisigo and Saber left.
So there's no simulcast is why the subs are so slow? What year is it?
I wasn't talking about powerlevels but you could argue that Semiramis is shittier since she needs a ton of materials for her NP to work.
Semiramis is an Assassin with Caster abilities on top of those.
That said, her flying fortress is not something she'd be able to use normally. Shirou went out of his way to get the required materials for her to do so.
In a similar case, Caster of Black also needs lots of support to build his golem army and his NP.
Wasn't Caster doing nothing but write tragedies and records of the war? dumbass even goad "Are you an oppressor?" into charging Black Team's camp.
Idk man, If I'm a master and given a catalyst for Semiramis and Jack, I'd rather summon Semiramis and do nothing all day but listen to the stories of the wise queen, maybe even commit a sin or two and drown in her poison. There's something with her that's intoxicating and makes me want to stand beside her. This is coming from a DFC-fag.
Concocting poison and setting up traps for rival masters and servants sounds fun than watching 2 servants duke it out and seeing limbs fly.
I think he is talking about how it was originally supposed to be an online game. However, the idea was scrapped and we only had the designs left.
The designs were later used in this series.
They showed him once with his horse ass but that's all.
Laughable, keep using ad hominem insults when you don't have better arguments.
By the way I'm neither a /vg/er nor an apofag, I just don't like people bashing stuff for the sake of it, which is what you're doing.
>emo servant tries to kill past self
>JOBS when emo can kill past self and loses because bullshit
It's an asspull because the fight would have ended right from the start.
Why do dedicated shitposters like to reply their their own posts?
Do they think we're stupid?
Interestingly we find that dedicated shitposters sometimes reply to their own shit posts to force their opinions or to make sure that their opinions are noticed. Also, dicated shitposters often included references or replies to previous posts in their own initial shit posts rather than contributing those comments or references in a thread.
The only way the double summon affects her is that it lets her use 'territory creation' which is a caster class ability (she doesn't have it as a personal skill). If Gilles was a double summon he'd just gain magic resistance or territory creation depending on what class he is.
It's not that great a skill, it just works well for Semi because she has EX territory creation.
>Intentional jobbing is still jobbing.
Karna was trying to fuck up his enemy's plans.
That's less of an "asspull" job than what happened in UBW for the Servant fights, especially the Gil fight, where the strongest Servant doesn't fight anywhere near his full potential.
That's part of Gil's character, and it has been like that since the start.
If you still can't accept he acts that way, especially against Shirou who's nothing but a faker to him, two routes after, that's just a problem of yours.
Does he really make an appearance?
>surprise attacks a weak Saber on a date
>been like that since the start
He surprise attacks just about everyone and then just doesn't give a fuck. He backed off from another faker Servant in an earlier confrontation.
At least Karna had an actual reason to die, because he's actually enemies with Sieg's enemy. Gil just lost from the confluence of: suddenly became stupid, doesn't wear armor, stops being tactical with his weapon use, Rin sex, doesn't use Ea at full power, be unbelievably weak due to non-existent prana source, lets opponent chant an RM into existence after one half-ass attack instead of attacking multiple times because the initial block was from a dying emo shit.
That's because Nasu is all about making up stats and rules, then creating extremely situational victories.
Other writers of his work actually take his own rules more seriously, funnily enough.
The funny thing is people claim the situational victory in F/A was bad when FSN was filled with nothing but situational victories. And Nasu designed it that way because Servants are not supposed to be challenged by humans by his own writing.
Did he kill Saber?
Shirou, being a faker, wasn't worthy of him using an armor, that's completely acceptable given Gil's personality.
He kills off useless people he's not interested in, such as Medea, but when it comes to Shirou he had a reason not to finish it with one surprise attack.
I tried but I just can't do it.
I know modern /a/ is filled with ironic waifufags but if by some chance you're not one, why her? Her design is uninspiring and she's devoid of an actual personality. Why the low standards?
What the fuck
Finding a waifu, I think, is similar to how it works in real life. First, you are physically attracted to another person, then everything else follows.
Rarely does finding a partner in real life progress the way it does in anime, where you end up having a "deep" reason for loving someone and their looks don't take any part in the decision.
What did he mean by this?
they show her naked in the ending music part
Mordred has some strong political opinions
>Astolfo's master is being a lewd MILF
>has him shackled to a bed while she licks him
>"are we done yet? this isn't really doing anything for me"
>casually breaks the shackles and sits up
because athuria was a terrible father who refused to even acknowledge mordred.
and basicly said 'fuck off' when mordred asked to be recognised as the kings son and to be heir to the trone
I wonder how she'd react if she met Shirou and Saber post-UBW, and found out that Arturia was seeking the Holy Grail to undo her kingship because she thought that she herself wasn't worthy of it.
Or if Shirou traced a copy of Caliburn for her to use, and she couldn't pull it out of the ground because the rightful king of Romania is Vlad Tepes, not her.
>teach a human faker a lesson
>run away from a faker servant
Nah, Gil just became conveniently stupid so the player feels good about beating a boss-type character. It's just like how Saber Alter gives you a fucking handicap to make you feel like you won the battle of skills and she still revives and kills Rin afterward.
arthuria could have at least been more chill with how she responded to mordred.
all mordred ever wanted was to be loved and praised by her father.
instead she got the opposite, so mordred got mad and lead the already forming rebellion
because a lot of the other Knights where also getting tired of arthuria's rather inhuman way of ruling
thats why Nero and mordred are superior to arthuria.
and why Iskander btfo's her in fate/zero when they where talking about being a king
Except Sakura would've already stabbed and been hugged by Rin by the time she recovered, regaining her sanity, so besides Manjew being born, Sakura could just order Saber to Excalibur the grail, killing everyone there
except Saber herselfand solving the whole problem
I wish they would just stick with the original rules laid out by Fte/Stay Night (even if it didn't follow its own rules sometimes, like with Fake Assassin.) Every single Fate spinoff involves some kind of waaaaacky~ Grail malfunction or alteration that allows them to do bizarre shit with the characters. The original premise is gold, why do they always need to complicate it? Quit using "vessels" to summon servants that shouldn't be permitted, quit making weird copies of servants that already exist, and for god's sake, quit genderbending.
The knights were always treacherous fucks who were planning on rebelling against the king no matter what she did, it's just that Mordred in her tardrage finally gave them the opportunity they were looking for
Who cares about which Servants are "permitted"? Why does that matter? It's all arbitrary anyway. What's so holy and special about the original rules of FSN? It breaks its own rules the entire time anyway.
shirou would annoy her and would get killed
if he did his "your a girl, you shoudn't be fighting thing" with her.
finding out what arthuria wants, i think that would just enrage mordred even more
>eternally remembered as being a misogynist asshole instead of the guy who realized the only way to keep these pretentious knight faggots as a functional unit was to play the role of the bad guy in the group and force their anger to be aimed at him
being Agravain is suffering
Are you actually implying the original played the premise straight?
Shit, the entire Fate/ premise is a bunch of heroes fighting over a wish granting device that never ever works, because the franchise has a thing against people using wish granting devices.
>Arthuria could have at least been more chill with how she responded to Mordred.
Whilst I agree, it wasn't going to happen. Mordred and Arthuria have to clash and kill each other at Camlann.
>and why Iskander btfo's her in fate/zero when they where talking about being a king
You realize that both Arthuria and Iskander were wrong when they talked about being king?
It's not because Iskander talk louder that he btfo's her.
do any of the other forms of arturia respond any nicer to mordred
i only know the lili saber version tends to treat mordred as a sister.
but what about the lancer or alter versions?
Lily is nice to Mordred because she both doesn't know her, and still hasn't taken up her stoic king personage
Everyone else feels nostalgic to have a knight of the round table around, but still think she's a massive brat and would rather deal with her daddy issues
Pretty much. The difference between them was that Rider was sure of himself and Saber wasn't.
Honestly, as much as people shit on Saber's wish, everyone has their own selfish wishes in the franchise.
None of the Arturias have a line for her in FGO which is pretty hilarious
Well the Lancer Arturias at least have her in a generic knight of the round table line
And Saber Archer does acknowledge her
>Am I seeing things? I see an insolent taking my ship out without permission, and worse, using it as a surfboard. Well, for the punishment... Rhongomyniad or Excalibur? Which do you think is better, Master?
Whether that's an improvement is in the eye of the beholder
but caster (tomamo) from fate extra/ccc/extela
is a servant form of the sun goddess amaterasu
she only has 1/10th of her full power (depending on the amount of tails)
her noble phantasm is even nerfed from beyond EX to D rank because of this)
and lancer arturia is a near divine spirit
Why wouldn't he be able to do so? It's like if Shirou summoned Archer, completely believable and legitimate, since they have what is quite possibly the strongest catalyst, themselves.
>preferable to good directing
this is why we can't have nice things.
I guess it is true, the saying that it is the consumer who defines the product, and if the consumer is shit than so too is the product.
anyway the director is shit, I bet he did not even go through the script and say make an outline of any of the character and their traits.
it is because of that, that all the conversations are bland and fucking stale as fuck.
we will not get a conversation like the one from youjo senki episode 12, instead we are stuck with some retarded generic shit.
and all of that falls 100% to the feet of the fucking director.
But if he hadn't won, then the villain of F/GO probably wouldn't have awakened and tried to destroy humanity's history.
Also, I wonder how long it's going to be until there's a F/A event on F/GO. They've even got most of the Servants on there already.
What do you think about that picture? Neat or shit?
A copy can surpass the original.
I don't get this shit either. Maybe it would confuse those fuckers if series would be uploaded from week to week or something. Or maybe to avoid spoilers since normalfags never watch subs anyway so there is nobody there on Facebook who would post spoilers about current series. They only know Netflix.
I'll pray UTW for the subs!
Despite being hot-headed, when Mordred took over Camelot in Arturia's little campaign away from home, the people actually liked her rule.
In fact, her army was composed of some defectors as well. So all in all, Mordred wasn't a TERRIBLE idea to have as an heir.
and hows to mordred react to proto saber?
and what about gilgamesh?
I'm a filthy secondary but I totally get what you mean anon. In a story where everybody is either super serious or desperate, his "cheerful composure" is a breath of fresh air. I totally get where Semiramis is coming from.
>Posting the shitty LN scans.
Narita will die before we see best boy get animated.
It's not sad, because Solomon got to make a wish, too. Solomon, who had never been allowed to want anything for or by himself in his entire life, learned what it meant to be human because of the Grail.
As I understand it, it's not (and never has been) a matter of "permission". HGW summons pull from the Throne of Heroes. Divine Entities do not exist in the Throne of Heroes; they exist in the Throne of Gods.
