I don't get it. He finally sorted things out with Touka. He fucked her, impregnated her and now they're pretty much husband and wife. For example, its obvious that Eto can still feel sensations on her lower portion of the body when she regrew her legs. Which means that her nerve cells must have regrowth as well. I like the idea of Touka becomin the MC, she gets stabbed by Suzuya, Kaneki rages and attacks him but gets killed because he is too weak, Touka then kill a wounded Suzuya but loses the baby.

The whole chapter is like a recap of the final battle.
Kaneki together with GOAT and remaining surface ghouls raided CCG, killed and maimed many Oggai and dozens of investigators.
The corpses of the fallen, ghoul and human alike, were consumed and became Kaneki's strength to continue fighting.
He forced Furuta to fight and reveal himself. Furuta had to flee. He left CCG in shambles and without a leader.
In his absence the shady dealings of CCG, the truth of the Washu and the Sunlit Garden and its parent organization V came to light.
Kaneki somehow managed to return to ward 24, where he lived out his final days. The ghouls were able to get food once again with CCG crippled and unable to respond.
CCG was slowly dismantled over time, with some staff being taken by other agencies, others joining a mercenary organization.
Mutsuki escaped, Ui was brought to court for conspiring with the ghouls and was executed for treason. Kanou disappeared and hasn't been seen since.
Kaneki died in his sleep 3 weeks after his twin sons were born, they were named Hayate and Hidenori, the latter in memory of his best friend.

Two novels were announced. Tokyo Ghoul - Last Stand and Tokyo Ghoul Chrysanth. Epilogue chapter in the final volume.

Ok Touken bros, we have to accept it. Touka will most likely die in the next chapters. After countless hours checking the archive, Dumblr, Leddit and some Youtube comments I’ve finally came with a conclusion. This was planned since last year by Ishida, and it was hinted by many poems, art by Ishida for each character birthday including Touka, Kaneki and Suzuya. If the madman actually delivers Touka is DEAD. After Kaneki decides to attack the CCG, maybe because he realizes he needs to gain some territory or just because he wants to save Yoriko. Touka decides to go even she is malnourished and obviously without Kaneki’s permission. A big battle occurs and Touka andn Keneki are left against Suzuya, but they clearly aren’t match for him sience they are starving. Touka receives a mortal blow from Suzuya to the stomach with which he notices he was pregnant. Kaneki goes crazy and kills Suzuya. Being broken he retreats to the 24th ward depths where he finds Eto and the original King and totally loses himself to their influence, preparing for part 3.

Switching from Kaneki's pov would be good. He's not really compelling when he's depressed without his insanity balancing it out. Make him look more menacing or amoral during this switch. This is what made Arima so fun.
We could switch to Furuta's pov, so he isn't just some shell of a character. This could give us more plot points and flesh him out, which he REALLY needs.
Lastly, drop Touka or keep her out of the spotlight. Ishida can make really compelling side characters, but when he can't write Touka well to save his life. She doesn't have any flaws, is always right, is strong (jobber aura), and won't have anything of negative consequence happen to her, except Ayato dying (which is obvious).

Ayato learns that the owner of the giant kagune was the one eyed ghoul who left the underground city many years ago. The kagune has become hardened, but is edible. Rize shown sitting on a couch in an office, her hair has grayed and she has a blank expression, she's also pregnant. The amount of parallels to Kaneki's mother's situation, or the Kuzen and Ukina situation in recent chapters is unsettling. The story could go in many directions from here, but I doubt Ishida will kill the child. Instead I see Kaneki breaking under the pressure of being the leader of GOAT and a single father after Touka's assumed death, and in a fit of anger lashing out against the child. Thus completing the cycle and becoming the kind of person his own mother was.

To further add to this point, Ishida illustrated Kaneki in the photo with complete white hair (its current state) when the chapter before he was "Haise" and the very next one was "Black Reaper." That actually is not entirely impossible given their "mother"/"son" dynamic paralleling with the Black Goat's Egg. The baby is an excellent opportunity to wrap up Kaneki's story and have it end as a tragedy, but without going overboard and skullfucking Kaneki with a quinque like in part 1.
On the flip side it can also add a different kind of dynamic to the story. In so far the one who has been lacking in parental love and guidance was Kaneki, it'll be interesting to see how he tries to be a father when he has never had a good parental figure in his life.

The funny thing about this, is that it is completely out of character for Kaneki to cut off her legs. What's more, Kiyoko herself doesn't seem to place much blame on him for the act. Seeing as though it happened off panel, I really doubt Kaneki was the one who did it. He just destroys your quinque. "Something" else happened during the battle Ishida is trying to hide. Kanou is using him in an experiment to achieve full hybridization. At the very end Marude and Scarecrow meet with Amon and Takizawa in a dark room. Scarecrow's right eye glows and he takes off his mask, revealing himself to those present. Amon says "you are" and we get a shot of Scarecrow's face obscured by the shadows, he has single kakugan. He speaks normally and says "and now begins the final stage of my plan. but first we must retrieve Kaneki Ken". The End

At no point in the story was he referred to as "king." The only point in time this ghoul was ever mentioned was chapters 61, 121, and the latest few chapter of :re. The only One-Eyed "Kings" are Arima (formerly) and Kaneki.

This is complete headcanon. If anything, the nagas are a direct reference to Vasuki, meaning it is linked to the Washuu. So "Dragon" would be the most likely bet.
