Looks like they're animating the adventures of the B and C teams too. That's great. The fact that Ti is listed along with Shizu's gang means that we're getting the island arc animated. So we're gonna see Kino play as the asshole antagonist in an arc animated. Should be fun to watch.

I didn't really care about what seiyuu voiced who, but after this obsessed guy keeps mentioning how Aoi Yuuki voices a character in Sagrada Reset every thread, multiple times in the thread, I began to pay attention to the voice.

And now I can positively say I do not want her to voice Kino. Maybe Kino as a kid with Master, but sure as fuck not present day Kino unless she can do something magic with her voice.

Kouhaku Kuroboshi's artstyle has always had bright colors and cute characters.

The more drab look of the first anime was more of Nakamura's design and stylistic choices. If that's what you want, then Kino is not for you since it's going for a style that is closer to it's original staff. If you want the former, then go dig up Nakamura from his grave and force him to finish Despera.

God I've been hype about this shit ever since it got announced. Kino no tabi was unironically my favourite anime of all time. This is the first time that I've felt the spark of life in my heart about anime in over a decade. If this turns out bad I will be legit depressed.

And really the notion of sequel and remakes and especially reboot is weird as fuck when talking Kino, since it's not really an ongoing singular story.

I mean, as far as Kino herself goes about the only constant notable connection from story is relative to any of the others past those telling how she left her country, got trained and started traveling is which guns she has.

For the sake of new folks some of her origin stories and maybe the Arena to introduce Shizu are the most likely to get rehashed, but going over anything else again would seem kind of pointless given how much new material there's been since the last adaptations.

Man, I came home with three used Kino DVDs from an anime convention in early 2010. Didn't realize it was gonna be so good.
