I thought Hunter x Hunter got more priority in translation release.

I didn't see anything saying there wasn't last chapter and I knew there was a Jump issue but I avoid going to /a/ around the time spoilers start to come out until I read the chapters so I'd miss any news. I just checked Mangastream less than an hour ago assuming everything was out and this wasn't.

I always wanted a HxH game but rather than following the main cast and story its about the world to explore and playing as your own character. Maybe the customization should be like in Star Wars Jedi Academy, your character will already have a name and personality but you at least get to decide their gender and customize how they look like.

As a freelance hunter who lives doing whatever they feel like doing and since trying to put nen and custom hatsu in video game form is probably nearly impossible it would probably work best if your character is a specialist that has an ability similar to Chrollo's but works differently. Also for gameplay reasons it would work too so you can make your own custom nen moveset and not just be limited to one category and ability. Rather than stealing abilities since the MC wouldn't be a dick instead their conditions would be something like, 1. observe the hatsu you are interested in action, 2. learn about how it works and what category it is and any conditions it needs, 3. get permission from the original hatsu creator to learn their ability and have them say something like "I give you permission", 4. Train your nen and since its a video game you'll have a exp bar you need to fill out before you can use the hatsu.

I guess with the modern times the medium you would use would be something like a smartphone or tablet that keeps the data on all the nen and hatsu you learn and use. As a beginner nen user you are only limited to use 1 ability but as you get stronger your nen gets strong enough to use 2 abilities at once. Maybe at endgame when you become a nen master you can then use 3 abilities at once.

Even though it has nothing to do with the main story throughout the game you'd hear about events from the main story, like hearing about the Phantom Troupe attack in Yorknew, Greed Island being cleared for the first time, and the Hisoka vs Chrollo fight. Maybe also a mission where after you made a name for yourself you get hired to take out a bunch of Chimera Ants that have established a nest, perhaps that one alligator ant that we never saw or heard from again.

I know this will never happen and if there ever was a game it'd just be the main story with you only being able to play as Gon.
