An indie gamedev gets isekai'd into his own unfinished game. He knows majority of its inner workings, but everything past first chapter of plot is complete mystery to him, as it unfolds without his involvement. Still, mechanics don't change, they merely evolve, so he still knows more than any of that world's residents, including bugs he forgot to patch that he abuses to great extent.

A young necromancer, having just finished his apprenticeship, joins the inner circle of an immensely powerful, yet friendly undead lord that has been amassing an army in order to secure land and resources for the construction of an undead capital, a place where the restless may live out their semi-immortal lives in peace, safe from the nations of the living that have a policy of killing undead indiscriminately.
As he joins, he learns the advantages and responsibilities that come with raising the dead, especially when some corpses still have souls attached to them.
>>
>>159445362
>You just ruined a very fun idea.
How so?

The MC and his best friends were kidnapped against their wills so the MC can marry the heroine of the story. To use "wife" is correct as the heroine sees herself as that while the MC is just trying to survive the plot of the story.

If you're talking about "yandere". MC got kidnapped by a woman he hasn't seen in a decade who was using supersoldiers to capture him and threatening him and his friends if he didn't go through with the marriage.
>>
MC is an ordinary second year high school student except that he has no memories of before he was twelve due to a car accident. He has a close-knit group of friends; a male buddy, a female friend (romantic interest), a male class rep who is also his childhood friend. One day, him, his friends and his sister go to the amusement park and enter a haunted house only to exit and find themselves in another world.

In that world, the sky and sea are crimson red, the land is tainted and the forest they find themselves in is brown and withered. A dark elf finds them but when she sees the MC, she looks shocked. She says, "Master? Is that you?"

Turns out MC has been in that world before, when he was twelve and was the dark lord's magician who had casted the spell which unleashed the miasma upon the world. MC denies this saying he cannot remember and Class Rep becomes slightly distrustful of him. The party travels to the nearest town with the dark elf. When they reach there, the villagers tremble at the sight of the MC and dark elf. The MC can't deny that the story seems true and it torments him that he cannot remember his misdeeds. They somehow find an inn to stay at.

After a nightmare sequence, the MC wakes up and ask the dark elf why wasn't she with the dark lord. She said she left his service because MC is her only master. MC makes up his mind and tells the party that they are going to rid the world of the dark lord. Dark elf is stunned and says that is impossible. Class rep is equally shocked and says MC is insane. Before the latter is about to storm off, the innkeeper comes and says it is surprising to see the dark lord's magician rebelling against the dark lord after a three year disappearance. She reveals that she is part of the guild of rebellion, specifically their vice head of intelligence. MC does shit, get her trust, fight against the dark lord's minions whose master is now aware of MC's presence. Ultimate goal is overthrowing dark lord and returning home.

7 heroes face off against the demon king, but they job pretty bad and half of them die. Nevertheless, the demon king is vanquished and the world returns to peace.
But then 6 years later, the demon king returns, having possessed one of the dead heroes (a shota mage). Seeking revenge he attacks the remaining heroes, but they manage to hold him off.
The rest of the series is about the heroes chasing the demon king to the ends of the earth where a final battle occurs that the demon king wins. He then genocides all life in the realm.

Journey of Ego

A giant hole has appeared in the sky and has been there for an undisclosed amount of time. In ancient books in the world this described the end of the world as the hole will unravel the fabric of reality.

As reality slowly becomes undone many strange things that should appear or happen, beings to place in the world. People across the world however, are not in a panic. They continue on with their daily lives as the world could end at anytime, ignoring the hole in the sky.

The Main Character, Ego is someone who notices the hole in the sky and threat of the world ending while others around them try to live the hedonistic life.

The story is episodic as Ego tries to solve the problems going around his home city with things that aren't suppose to exist and thinks about his place in the world. Being a catalyst to the events Ego finds himself in is Id, who finds the undoing of the world to be fun and is taking pleasure in it, she acts on the first thought that appears in her mind.

Then there is Shadow, Id's sidekick who often provokes Ego as they find the destruction that Id creates to be the answer to why they exist and thinks the undoing of the world is something that shouldn't be questioned and is completely irrelevant.

The main antagonist is Superego who is the God of the world who wanted to test the world. Creating Ego and Id (Ego: Order & Searching for Purpose, Id: Chaos & Acting on Instinct + Selfishness) to see which one of them would have a bigger effect on the world and its people. Shadow was created by Id to help her cheat on the test (Shadow: Nihilism & Hedonism being the opposite of Ego)

The local blacksmith tomboy gets a boyfriend who is well known adventurer.

Cute romantic things unfold as she tries her best to remain number 1 in his heart when compared to the heal slut (Who is a total bitch), the tomboy dark skin cat girl amazon, the Elf who isn't trying to be lewd, princess of the country, older sister witch, and other women her boyfriend knows + trying to fight off the advances of the local merchant guild boy who wants her as his bride.

You know vanilla stuff.
>Blacksmith girlfriend fixes of his armor and goes on about how each dent the monsters or people he fights, brings her joy as the armor she fixes up is protecting him and via transfer she is protecting him.
>Adventurer boyfriend takes her into the city and feels embarrassed and does her best to avoid dropping her spaghetti when wearing a womanly dress rather than her work gloves + trying to avoid how much of a sword autist she is once they pass the city's blacksmith district/shops.
>Blacksmith girlfriend tagging along with her adventurer boyfriend as he explores a dungeon to kill some creatures in it and she learns his way of work and how dangerous it can be. Then the next day, she tutors him on proper equipment care and how she forges swords.

All that stuff. Turn it into 12 episodes.

It's a literal harem anime taking place in a fantasy Arabian-esque country.

A young prince has just inherited the throne. As per custom the noble families have each sent him a daughter, who will all live with him until he chooses one as a wife. He can't have sex with any of them because that would count as marriage and upset a delicate political balance.

Despite what you might expect, none of the girls are actively lusting after him. The prince is just happy finally to have actual friends that aren't seeking to use him.

So it's actually more slice of life as they experience life in the royal palace, mixed with political intrigue as the prince has to deal with his new responsibilities as royalty.

Basic premise that a long time ago, there was this samurai who did a crapload of badass stuff with his equally awesome band of fellow heroes until one day, he was forced to be sealed with a terrible demon to hold it at bay forever.

Skip forward to present, and the samurai has reincarnated as a skilled, albeit unremarkable young man returning to his home town when he starts running into people from his previous life (who have all survived the ages one way or another), and they all beckon him to remember.

Especially because they want to know: if he's there, where is the demon he was supposed to be fighting?!

Cue the demon revealing himself to be possessing our hero's previous body and now wreaking havoc on Japan once again, albeit recovering his strength and using assorted schemes.

With his ancient cohorts, a mere fraction of his old skills and memories, the samurai's reincarnation proceeds to go on adventures throughout the town to finish the ages old battle as well as confront many other unfinished quests of his past life.

Our setting takes place in a different world, in which most of the world is covered in deadly noxious fumes, with only higher elevations being completely safe to breathe. Not only that, but the world is tidally locked, meaning only one side of the world gets light whilst the other is stuck in eternal darkness, rendering the area in-between darkness and light, stuck in perpetual late evening the only place on the planet that isn't a scorching hellhole or a frozen wasteland. The geography and land is identical to the surface of our moon, and is littered with strange fungus and animals.

People do live on this world, however they are largely nomadic tribes and clans who stick together in small, tight knit groups ranging between 15 to 50 people. People are able to travel through the otherwise deadly fumes via carrying torches and protecting themselves with multiple layers of animal skins. Clans need to traverse solely because vegetation, water, and animals to hunt are sparse, and staying in one area for too long attracts other clans competing for supplies to last the occasional fume/sandstorms.

Our MC is an inquisitive little girl in the middle of a migration with her small clan of twenty people. Due to the low light, she easily spots what appears to be a burst of light beyond the fumes and with torch in hand, she slips away from her clan to investigate. She comes across a strangely garbed boy with advanced technology claiming to be from another world the stars. She brings him back to her clan, who are quick to be wary of him and his strange, clumsy ways that almost get them all killed numerous times, and it's up to her to teach this boy how to accustom himself to her clan's culture and to survive on this harsh world. Both of them slowly put together how he came here in the first place, and learn some actual truths of the origins of humanity on this world. The boy warns that this world will suffer the same fate as his home planet, Earth.

A tragedy.

In a kingdom, magic use to be the dominant thing and people who could use it + magical creatures use to bully humans who couldn't. Then humans came up with technology and used it to rage war against magic users and make them the minority in the kingdom.

The main character is the prime minister to the country who has been left with the duty by the Queen (his unrequited childhood love) to take care of her daughter (Princess) and kingdom after her and the king pass away.

The magical creatures begin to get uppity as the protagonist (A self-declared Hero of the People) rolls into town and the Prime Minister attempts to quietly genocide them to protect the majority of technology users.

This leads to the plot as the protagonist opposes the Prime Minister and gets the Princess on their side and the quiet genocide to create peace leads to large scale war as the Prime Minister Ideal of Peace (Genociding one side of the two opposing forces, then establishing peace until another problem rises up and genocoding one side again in an eternal loop), vs., Protagonist's Ideal of Peace (By having both sides come to an understanding through their shared suffering, which will then create a shaky peace that will eventually break, but the suffering from the break either leads to the Minister's Ideal or recreates a shaky peace)

Prime Minister in order to bring happiness to the kingdom follows through the Protagonist ideal, by turning himself into a tyrant in the kingdom and the most hated person by magical creatures and technology users. Then dies a slow death thinking about the Queen after a final fight against the Protagonist.

nah, most harems leads have one guy friend that hangs around before getting shooed off to the sidelines.
This (proposed) series follows the guy that's on the sidelines from his point of view whether it be him being ignored, getting roped in to something against his will, throwing an odd monkey wrench now and then, and mainly just sitting down and having a good long laugh at the overall levels of incompetence in the harem.

Isekai

The MC has his life together by having a job, a girlfriend, and two best friends. He's somewhat of a spineless coward though.

One of his best friends is a bachelor who sleeps with a different woman every night and the other is a trap who promotes the purity of 2d waifus and is an otaku. The MC's girlfriend is a dominating/manipulative woman who pushes him around while he works hard to provide for her and wants him to marry her, though he is indecisive in making that choice. At his job the MC has some senior workers there that are asses which puts a lot of stress on him as he has to complete his work on time and do OT without pay. Working under him is a female junior who is usually shy around the MC.

One day on his way home from getting drunk with his two best friends, the MC is hit by a truck and he awakes in a Mesopotamia land found and healed by a woman named Ishtar.

In order for him to return to his the MC must now begin a long journey with Ishtar that takes him from the surface world down to the gates of the underworld. Along the way he confront mystical beasts, different trials of the heart, and a manipulative goddess that wants to have the MC under her control. He also encounters and befriends people like Gilgamesh, Enkidu, and others who offer him words of advice.

At the end of his journey and coming to fall in love with Ishtar, the MC refuses to return to his nromal world and stay in the fantasy world with Ishtar and his new friends.

Its revealed in the epilogiue that the MCs entire journey was a figment of his imagination created from stress. Gilgamesh is his bachelor friend, Enkidu is his trap friend, Ishtar is his shy co-worker who found him passed out in the middle of the street, and the Monsters he fought were his bosses and so on.

Nice to see you're all still up and at it. Suppose I'll resume my regular duties for a bit.

>>159445052
You have a premise for a setting and perhaps some logistical conflicts, but there's no human element to your conflict—not yet, at any rate. To start with, try fleshing out your protagonist. A strong, motivating desire is the bare minimum you should be able to present; the more striking the desire, the better.

>>159445109
This is fairly convoluted, and your telling of it is part of the reason why. If the archeologist isn't your protagonist, don't lead with him. Lead with the boy, and then introduce your worldbuilding elements as they become relevant, if at all. And what else is your protagonist into aside from fighting aliens? Any old YA protagonist would do all the same stuff you've listed him as doing in his situation, which tells me jack nothing about who he is, other than that he's a bog-standard YA protagonist. What've you got to offer that only you're offering?

>>159445129
Pretty shallow narrative arc. It's fine to have a happy ending, but how'd you earn it?

>>159445267
You're not even the first person to suggest this "twist" on the contemporary isekai formula.

>>159445911
It's a very low bar, but this is thus far the most interesting of the lot. You have a protagonist with an intriguing motivation and some suggestion of a personal conflict that he'll face, as well as external conflicts. The next step is simply to expand on your points, namely the "advantages and responsibilities".

>>159445986
I'm sure you're well aware, but this is about as trite as it gets.

>>159446469
Reasonably novel premise, but you seem to have written your female protagonist out of the story by the second paragraph.

>>159446727
This is inchoate and inane.

>>159447658
Far too heavy on the allegory, I think, and not very subtle about it. If I wanted to read a Jungian psychology tract, I could always just read Jung.

Title: Ze Hat

A series based/inspired heavily by old Jackie Chan films and other Hong Kong action flicks

MC's name is Jun Ree (named after martial artist Jhoon Goo Rhee) which does sound a little bit like a girls name in retrospect which could be a small running joke
in the series. As for martial arts he's quiet capable, but the thing is he looks and somewhat acts like a good damn idiot while fighting (hence the Jackie Chan part)
so everyone initially underestimates him. Other than that the only other thing set in stone about him is that he wears a blue baseball type hat which is how we get the tittle of the series (if it sounds like a stupid reason, that's the point).

The main story centers around Jun Ree doing odd jobs around the city/slums of Not Hong Kong each bring its own 2-3 episode mini arc, some are original and some are heavily borrowing the plot from old Hong Kong movies with the connection between them is the hat wearing sorry excuse for a main character is involved in some way be it major or minor whether it be because of a job in order to make a quick buck, roped in against his will, or just plain bad luck.

The first arc would be mainly be a introductory arc borrowing a little from the first Police Story movie in where Jun is hired (threatened) by a old friend in the police (who's name would either by Chan Ka-Kui or Kevin Chan) to look after the soon to be main heroine who plans to testify in court about about a crime lords illegal activities on a hunch that there are moles in the force that are seeking to undermine the take down a said crime lord.

The hammers test

Our MC is a catgirl who is interested in making friends in her new class. She is very energetic, careless and also flat-chested. As a result, she often ends up breaking people's cherished possessions.

She stores damaged objects all throughout her home. These pieces of damaged furniture and other items scare her, emitting a strange aura due to their damages. She can see this aura due to the teachings of of her grandparents. They taught her that each piece of furniture and houseware should be respected.
One day the spirits guide her to an old magazine that features her grandparenents repair shop, now she desires to repair these items to honor her grandparents. she has no skills or tools.

then, she hears a loud hammering and the whirring of power tools coming from her neighbor's backyard. When she goes to look, she sees her classmates cutting wood and building furniture. Inspired by their skills (and big boobs) she asks the other girls if they could give her guidance in the art of furniture repair.

Every day she learns the ins and outs of DIY construction and repair, and uses these skills to restore her possessions, healing the objects' auras, and as her skills grow so too does her chest.

>>159454820
So how important is her bust size throughout the series? Is it a major plot driver, or does it just sort of happen?

MC is your seemingly average highschool boy who just happens to lead a life frought with inexplicable hijinx due to outside forces. One day he finds a light novel left behind on his desk and decides to take it with him and give it a read. To his surprise, he finds himself relating so very much with the main character and goes out to get the rest of the series to see where things go.

He enjoys the relatively new novels at first since they help him come to terms with similar events in his past but by the 3rd book he can't help but find it unnerving just how much of the story overlaps with his life. it then gets absolutely disturbing when he gets to a particular scene in the book after that is basically a line for line biography of a very private moment he had just only last year.

He looks further into the books and notices that the 4th book came out just a few months after the event happened to him and that online sources has it that the author is allegedly still in highschool. He figures that one of his classmates must be using him
as their inspiration and goes about trying to lure out who that may be. Naturally he causes a stir with his suspiscions and antics but by the end of the week he difinitively concludes it's not one of his classmates.

That's when he gets called to the teacher's room to answer for the nuisances he's caused. He gets there only to find it's just him and his maths teacher in the room. She cooly tells him to have a seat and he expects her to grill him on his outburst earlier during the day in class but instead she apologizes for the confusion and admits to being the author.

He's taken aback by this, especially since he has a a thing for her, and is even more taken aback by it when she offers to have relations with him stating her awareness of how he feels about her. The catch is that he must wait till after he graduates and she finishes up her novel series.

I call this one "I'm A Light Novel Protagonist And My Author Is My Stalker!?"

The Main Character is a Mobalch, a mobile alchemist who travels in a wagon creating potions for ailments and crops to sell to different town and cities in which they come in-contact with.

2 years prior to the start of the story. The Main Character worked as the Grand Alchemist (The highest ranking alchemist in the kingdom and who is a member of the Mage Guild Board) apprentice. After their master passes away however, they are given their personal memoirs as part of their will, where the Grand Alchemist reveals to have had an affair with the now deceased King in the past, and asks their last apprentice to find the daughter they had with them and convince them to become an Alchemist and be the child's master (Which the Main Character agrees to do in honor of their Master).

First half is episodic establishing the lore of the world, showing off magic and alchemy, looking for the Grand Alchemist child and the effects of the previous war with the court going to crap. The second half after finding the Grand Alchemist child. The second half deals with the Main Character tutoring the child in Alchemist and other forces of the kingdom trying to kidnap the MC's apprentice and use them to usurp the current ruler to restart the lost war.

>You take this way too seriously.
You're probably right. There was once more earnest work being done in these threads, and a number of anons actually moving forward in producing their ideas, but it hasn't seemed that way of late.

Cry me a river. I actually did write a big ass post detailing a story I had in a dream, but it was too edgy and violent so I deleted it. My throwaway comment was probably better overall, even if you don't think so.

Okay, completely spitballing here, might be shit, who knows. Fantasy steampunk world with a pantheon of interesting gods. I will describe them now.
God of war: main good god, righteous, just and vengeful. He's the type of God you don't want on your bad side. He's usually worshipped by the zealots and average citizens.
God of Agriculture: surprisingly enough, he's the bad one. This god wants to take back the fertile lands and so is employing those who used to work as farmers before the toxic drought (btw that happened and this guys blaming it on God of war) to fight in his renegade army.
God of commerce: this one is a trickster and rules his own city and takes the form of a human to do so. He's not a major god but is important for the story.
Those are the three main gods for the plot. A small group of vagabonds, all from different walks of life, are hired by god of commerce to protect his city. They all have committed separate criminal acts and he decides to let them go if they do this since all of their acts showed them to be masters of their crafts. There's an asocial pilot, a homely demolitions expert, a quiet sharpshooter and a bubbly mechanic. Of course they're not the only ones hired to do this, but we focus on them.
For some reason they have to fight on the fore front, but become rebels and decide to fight against the gods and free humans from their judgement.
That's all I've got, feedback or ideas?

I don't remember if that guy intended it to be comedic but my emphasis on "these instabilities need to die" has a bit more in a series of questions the characters face:
1) who is facilitating all of these isekaid people, if by magic then who taught the magic to do this?
2) if another organization is pulling the strings, what do they stand to gain from doing this?
3) what is so important that our own organization has to keep things undercover even as we conspicuously remove important people?
4) if their materials are unstable anomalies, why is the organization keeping and using the confiscated magic/technology instead of destroying it?
I'd describe it as closer to a spy thing than a comedy, really.

Life Under the Red Sun

It takes place in 2003 in an alternate history Japan were they used African slaves in the past and thus have a large black population
It has no main character and multiple intersecting story lines. The main back drop for the story is a 15 year old Japanese school girl who gets brutally raped and beaten into a coma by 3 black teens who are then shot execution style in their cells by 3 Japanese police officers. This triggers large scale riots and protests. It follows black protesters/rioters classes with police, black and asian gangs clashing, a girl and her family just trying to get back to a normal life, and everyone caught in between.
>>
>>159457288
Is there a reason it's set in Japan and not America, considering the whole African slave thing we had going on? Interesting concept, but I want to know how that would culturally impact it

>veteran from America is isekai'd to a violent high fantasy world
>Summoned by the alliance of elves, dwarves, and humans to be their champion against the war for survival they face
>the complex ritual, which involved a dozen sacrifices of various sapient species, imbues him with incredible martial ability, but does little to change his true form
>in essence, he becomes a glass cannon that the alliance hopes to use to keep the demihumans and interdimensional monsters at bay while they figure out how to stop the invasion
>currently the alliance are united against the demihumans to the south
>the demihumans are trying to flee monsters pouring out of portals at the south pole, but the alliance refuses to allow them in in hopes that the demihumans can buy them some time to find a solution
>although militaristically the demihumans are stronger, they are fighting a two front war and are in danger of extinction
>the "hero" sees this, and decides to go to the demihumans to parley without the alliance's knowledge
>although initially hostile, an ample display of force gets the "hero" an audience with the empress of the demihumans
>to their surprise, he offers his aid in fighting through the demons so that their court magicians can preform whatever magic they need to close the portal and end the threat to the world
>in return, he wishes them to aid him in conquering the planet
>the veteran, after seeing so much unnecessary death and destruction both on Earth and in this new world, is wearied and wishes for a true peace that can only come through the total domination of the planet

1/2
>>
>>159457395
>"Si vis pacem, para bellum; if you want peace, then prepare for war"
>the empress, after seeing the "hero's" abilities is wary of both the man and his Faustian bargain, but also realizes that he is the best hope to save her people, and agrees in the end
>the story encompasses two major parts: a shorter first one of piercing through the Eldritch horrors pouring through the portals to another dimension, and a longer one of both defending against the remaining interdimensional monsters and conquering the world, one nation at a time, for the sake of peace

That would only work if it was super engaging and fun to watch. Deconstruction is essentially the creator explaining through the show why they don't like certain tropes, or think that they wont work, or what not. To deconstruct the deconstruction genre, it would have to show that all these cliches are there for a reason, and when used appropriately, work really really well
>>
>>159457434
Nice story, I'd definitely watch it.
>>
>>159457472
I think you could go the complete opposite way, deconstructing tropes like harems and shounen but in the end the deconstruction means absolutely nothing, showing how deconstruction shows always try to make some kind of point with their deconstruction.
>>
>>159457479
Thanks. Most of the stories I've thought of/written down are based off my dreams since I tend to have abnormally vivid and detailed dreams/nightmares every night. Do you think I'd be any good at writing an actual story?
>>
>>159457700
Depends on your writing style. As long as you keep it hectic and the action brief I think you probably could though.
>>
Ordinary kid gets transfered to the school where all "mysterious transfer student" cliches actually go to school. Hilarity ensues as he uses common sense and ordinary methods to solve problems around their school.

Examples include:
Having the two rival martial arts heirs actually sit down and talk to each other instead of only dueling to the death.

Puts a mousetrap with cheese in it to kill the evil demon mouse that's been eating through the sacred scrolls in the school.

Beating the half merman swimming team captain because he uses the fundamentals and rides the surf created by the captain's water attacks.

Finishing the exam of the soul-snatching teacher because he doesn't have a massive ki to drain energy from.
>>
>>159456323
>>159456427
To elaborate further:

MC - Basically a Kamachi protag. Teacher's pet name for him is LN protagonist.
Teacher - A Kuudere Nisioisin character. Christmas cake, says outrageous and embarassing things with a straight face and schemes to pair up the "Heroine" with MC. Master of various stalking skills including disguises.
Heroine - Resident nice girl. Absolutely platonic friendship with MC but gets dragged into romcom situations with him.
Teacher's sister - Student Council president. Assists with her sister's research and is also her illustrator. Secret fujoshi.

The novels in the story themselves hints at secret sides to various other characters around school too that may or may not be exaggerated and the teacher won't make that clear for him. E.g. the school nurse is secretly a yakuza princess using the school to launder money in the books but seems like an angel in reality. Also, the teacher paints her counterpart as an unintentional tease fairly different from her actual self since she claims it'd shameful to blatantly write yourself into your story. It embarrasses MC to tears whenever he sees hints of his crush make it to the book.
>>
>>159457858
Any more than 10 minute episodes and the plots might go on too long (unless it's 2 stories an ep).
>>
ok so i have a request
I dont really watch well written anime, i usually just watch moe loli fanservice pantyshot anime.
So basically what im asking is, come up with a concept for an anime about cute girls doing cute things and ill let you know if id watch it
>>
>>159457766
>As long as you keep it hectic and the action brief

What do you mean?
>>
>MC is an undercover cop trying to take down a huge gang from the inside in Chicago
>As he climb up the ranks he learns that he's really good at gang banging and starts making his own moves
>Even starts stealing money and selling guns/explosives to the local gun shop owner on the downlow
>A gang member gets suspicious and puts a bounty on him
>While selling some guns at the gun shop, the owner distracts him and while he's distracted, she pulls a gun on him
>The owner is Rally from GSC and shes about to turn the MC's for his bounty
>Its a spinoff of Gunsmith Cats, but instead of being gun/car porn, its CQC/motorcycle porn
>>
>>159457566
very true. It could also critique the sensationalism of deconstruction in anime, used as just a way to get people to watch an otherwise subpar show
>>
>>159457981
Since the story is about war and Faustian agreements and shit I think keeping the writing kind of sporadic would help set that kind of mood. And the brief part is just a reminder that fights usually don't last too long, unless it's trenches or something most battles are decided pretty quickly, so don't write too many large action sequences. Those are just my opinions on how it would be written though, do what you will with them
>>
>>159457936
It's definitely a 2 1/2 stories per episode sort of show. The half being a sort-of side gag with the other characters or the MC giving a simple explanation to something his classmates think is something supernatural.
>>
>>159457969
Cute girls do gambling. It starts with fun little bets, then poker (maybe some strip poker for fan service), then they open a mini casino. Cute girls doing cute gambling and it's not intense or anything, except sometimes in a moe comedic way
>>
Anti-harem anime.
MC draws in all the bitches with his personality and the bitches assume they have to vye for his affections when, in fact, he has a girlfriend. She's not even technically a main character; you see her in the background a lot and she's always either ending/beginning a conversation/interaction with the MC.

You find out in the final episode that the reason why he doesn't fuck around with the harem girls is that he has a girlfriend and he assumed they knew and were just being cunts.
>>
>>159455801
Exactly
>>
>>159458292
The amount of keeping track I would have to do for that show actually entices me even more. I think it would have a very dedicated small following who have waifus of their husbandos and multiple OTPs.
>>
>>159458075
Well, I was thinking the empress and the "hero" would come into a kind of partnership. The man offers short term sacrifice for long term gain, while the empress gets short term salvation for long term cost in blood of her people for his goals of domination. But at the end of the day, the empress sold herself and her people to the "hero" for that salvation, and that will come with many costs. I won't have them rest on their laurels, there will usually be a purpose to whatever was happening. Not sure if that's what you meant by hectic or not.

I see what you mean about the action. The longest action sequence would most likely be the initial fight to get to the portal and stop the Eldritch horrors from invading since that's pretty much the battle to save the planet. After that it would be relatively brief combat between their forces and monsters, or them and smaller nations, though past the south pole on the other side of the planet, the other people there weren't as resilient as the demihuman empire, so about a quarter of the planet is no man's land with the monsters infesting it. It wouldn't be until they went farther north that I'd have another large battle against another empire. I always have gotten annoyed when book series have a battle take up a hundred or more pages multiple times, so I'd try to make them brutal and fast usually.

I've been thinking about writing for years, just never had the confidence I guess.
>>
>>159458408
By hectic I mean that I think there's a lot going on in the story, and so the writing should reflect that sometimes. When a lot is happening, it should appear maybe jumbled or not all quite so together. I'm just figuring out I don't entirely know what I mean either.
Also, writing can be hard to get into, but practice makes perfect. I'd recommend writing a lot of flash fiction and coming back to older works if there are any and rewriting them, trying to find flaws and fix them. If you don't have many older works just edit the stuff you're working on repeatedly, constantly making it better. That'll hopefully make you more confident in your abilities. You've definitely got some cool ideas
>>
>>159455873
>>159456054
honestly? I kind of like that this guy takes the time to try to give everyone a little attention.

A lot of threads like these are people pitching their own ideas and never looking at anyone else's or pitching one meme idea everyone responds to with more memes.
>>
>>159458649
I think I get that. So, maybe instead of focusing heavily on one point of view, instead cut to different points of view with some regularity to give more perspective on what's happening?

I'm guessing flash fiction is just vomiting something down for practice? That makes sense, I'll try that. I don't have anything older that I've kept since I'd always come back and hate it and delete it, but I'll try editing them from now on instead. Thanks, I appreciate the critiques.

>>159458649
>>159458903
Well, I guess I'm a fucking tsundere because I kind of like it too.

The MC awakes in a public restroom, exiting to find himself in an airport terminal that is also a mall food court, except all the stalls sell baby food exlusively, and every attendee is a middle aged man dressed in ill-fitting clothing who are all hooked up to IVs, and they are all being escorted to a locked corner by men in hazmat suits. The corner contains 3 things, colorful blocks, picture books and a urinal shaped device with vacuum tubes much like that used at a bank. The MC witnesses a hazmat suit grip a man by the base of his skull and firmly plant his head in the device, where he witnesses the man being drained of all fluids as well as his brain, unravelling in the tube like a kind of grey-pink noodle mush. Upon trying to escape he finds that he is now in a white room with a convienence store shelf before him, lined solely with magazines despite being refridgerated. He passes out from mental anguish and awakes next to his mother, a toy in his right hand, and he notices his mother is dead but also has no face. He then witnesses his own birth outside of his window and, being unable to grasp the situation as he is only 3, begins to cry, before being ripped up by a hazmat suit and dragged to a closet. He is forced to sit in the closet as a camera records him crying, before he is viciously beaten with Cricket Mallets. He wakes up once more and finds that he has no legs and is forced to watch as surgery is performed on him.

It seems like a great concept. that would struggle with a lot of plot threads, and the audience viewing situations how you intend them to. Seems like it would work best as a light hearted action/comedy with LORE

The only problem with this is that the fantasy setting seems like a complete plot device, when in reality most of this could be told with real world substitutions. As such the characters are at risk of becoming 1D Archetypes instead of multidimensional characters that make shows like this work

>>159444153
A warrior and a mage were tired of death. They came up with the idea to kill the deadman. They somehow succeded and one of them became the Deadman. Since this Deadman wasnt powerful he could die and did so out of weakness or old age. This created a tournament for becoming the new Deadman.

Our MC is a lonely, ruthless and agressive guy. He is master of sneaking even vanishing in plain sight without using magic. He hears about this tournament and wants to rob all contestants. He meets a warrior princess which wants to become the Deadman to bring glory for her people, a "chad" hero guy and a mage child who got dragged accidentally into this tournament.

He steals an old scroll from a group of necromages. Which is a plan to revive the two heros who killed the Deadman to destroy the world. To stop that he starts hunting and kiling the necromages until the current Deadman dies which forces him to either become the Deadman or find someone to do it.

Its just a rough outline of the story. Any improvments?

He watches all the episodes live, has a massive collection of the merch, has all issues of manga adaptation, reads the magazine articles about it. He styles himself after the main hero but breaks character often. His mom indulges him because he behaves well and studies hard for the promise of more toys. His next door neighbor two patterns himself after the mysterious rival character from the show. It mostly would be a slice of life comedy parodying children show cliches by intersecting them with "real life". Show would end with the MC growing just out of the target demographic as the sequel series comes out and losing interest in it in favor of baseball or something.

Stainless: PKAM Walking Tank Unit

MC is the captain of the 2012nd "Mad Dog" company, a combined-arms unit conducting peacekeeping in a country mired in civil war. Down with the sand and the grit, he commands one of several euphemistically named "Peacekeeper" Kinematic Armored Machines (AKA: PKAMs). Faced with the demands of an unreasonable command from a disinterested and decadent homeland, the MC holds his unit to a high standard fighting for the people of the war-torn nation.

Meanwhile, the homeland has sent teenagers and children in highly powerful prototype mecha known as SAVIORs to subjugate rebels and bring an end to the conflict by force. They complicate the MC's mission as they range from inexperienced to sadistic, a danger to their allies and deadly to enemies and bystanders alike.

The twist is when the MC rescues an injured SAVIOR pilot, who reveals that not only are SAVIOR pilots are intentionally twisted and drugged murderers, but their mission and role has been since their inception to destroy the whole country so it can be used to stage a larger war against another world power. The whole "Mad Dog" company goes rogue along with the MC, with their 12 PKAMs and "appropriated" SAVIOR the only thing standing between the country, the imperialistic homeland and their insane prototypes (and pilots) and itself.

Big focus on tactics, experience, trickery and tenacity beating out new technology; also focused on the ethics of conflict and war, the dehumanization of the enemy by politics and things like drone warfare.

Dante Must Die Mode: It's literally an anti-mecha show, both in critique the military industrial complex and how they're basically taking down protagonist mecha every episode.

Romcom that has all the tropes of a modern garbage romcom.

But the MC is a normal logical reasonable human being that acts like a real world human being.
Evrione else acts like a romcom character.

Two ideas, both share elements and potentially universes
Idea one: Deals with concept of immortal enemy
> two OP mages defeat apocalyptic beast; seal its power
>when everyone is celebrating, one of the 2 mages kills the other and absorbs his power and the apocalyptic beast's essence, becoming nigh-divine in power in the process
> declared himself God-Emperor, and says he is doing this because conflict alllowed the apocalyptic beast to escape its previous confinement, so by being civilization's immortal enemy, he will reduce the amount of conflict
>this is BS of course
>although civilization of the world is unified, two main factions emerge: those who want to accept the God-Emeperor's rule, and those who want to fight him
>among the 'war with God-Emperor faction' there is tension over who is responsible for the current situation
>eventually, as conflict with God-Emperor goes on, tension among factions reaches a breaking point; there is now a civil war between them
>Due to finally having some time to introspect and be alone God-Emperor calms down, becomes depressed and horrified at previous and current actions and what they have lead to
> Through introspection, God-Emperor's past is revealed; it is quite messed up, but I have not thought of the details yet
>God-Emperor struggles with trying to lead faction of civilization accepts his rule, clashes with destructive personality
> Eventually GE becomes so overwhelmed by situation and depressed that when he becomes aware of plot to assassinate him via poison, does not do anything to stop it
> final episode has him eating poisoned food, ambiguous wheather he lives or dies

A fighting shonen world of demons and spiritual powers. MC has a hidden source of power of very dark origins, he abuses it to kill the villain but in the process becomes an even bigger villain. His friends realize the dark power was a big ruse from the real villain, a demon who implanted the dark power on the MC basically as a means of reproduction. All of this happens relatively early in the series, the rest of the story is the supporting cast trying to somehow beat the overpowered evil MC or trying to make him regain his senses.

MC's villanous activities correlate mostly to his lust for fighting and his desire to protect his friends. He goes from town to town, killing everybody but a single child, to motivate them to grow up and take revenge, he organizes death games, forcing strong warriors to fight among themselves with their loved ones' lives in line, shit like that. He also is obsessed with kidnapping his love interest, because she's the only person he can't absolutely hurt (a psychological barrier he can't overcome). His other friends try to hide her because they all realized she's their only chance to either beat him or heal him. She eventually jumps off a cliff and kills the evil MC while he rushes to rescue her, and both die.

Also, main rival has a forbidden mortal technique, and using it is a source of much angst. His ancestors beat a demon, and made it their slave, but it turns out that every time they summon the demon it kills them. Anyone from their bloodline can summon him, but they die. He did it on purpose to eliminate their bloodline, since knowing they have an instant win button at their hands most of them can't even resist. The rival uses his technique at least against evil MC, only for MC to effortlessly eat the demon and render it null.

1. In a world where super-humans (whilst making up a small fraction of the world population) are treated like celebrities, ranging from D-list wanna-be's to A-list super-heroes and villains.

2. In this setting super-humans fight in skermish battles similar to fake-wrestling, all for the sake of the cameras, putting on whatever persona and costume that works in order to get the best merchandise deals, movie rights, book deals, etc.

3. The A-Narrative follows a crisis for these super-humans as seemingly unrelated events trigger the deaths, disgraces, and downfalls of big-name heroes and villains; this includes losing scandals, losing their powers, and similar ill-fates. Soon a civil-war like scenario begins as the fake skermishes steadily become real fights to the death.

>B-Narrative: This civil war is instigated by a super-power-less secret network of 4-8 civilians who have each had their lives ruined at the hands of a super-human(s), and have each undergone a Breaking-Bad style change from ordinary civilian to sophisticated super-human assassins, de-famers, disgracers, etc.

5. Essentially a network of normal people instigate god-like super-humans into a civil war to exact revenge and to remove super-humans from existence one and for all.

>I like the decision to keep it realistic. I;m curious as to where it would go after he finds out his teacher is a stalker?
The teacher gets him to go along with it and he'll be exposed to hidden sides of his life hinted at in the novels. He'll gradually gets put off by it until her "plot direction" consultations with him actually do help him resolve an important personal issue he'd been avoiding.

After that, they'll get involved with the side characters and resolve their subplots under the pretext of making the novel stories even better making him and their relationship grow. They'll confide in each other and be more frank as time goes on but the solitary guarded front she rarely puts down will frustrate him.

She'll hurt him by publishing a critical and sensitive moment differently from what actually happened in a way that he strongly opposes. It creates a rift between them but this leads to him getting to see her at a low vulnerable point. They don't quite get over it but do try to put it behind them in the short term and this spurs character growth for the teacher as he begins doing stuff to help her with her issues the way she helped him.

Eventually she stops using MC's life story as a crutch and the novels diverge from it so she can write a more "pleasing" finale instead of tracing out the mature low key resolutions his reality has been taking. She actually does it to avoid hurting him but he pushes her to give it their best even if he though he knows it'll open cans of worms for him.

The series finishes on a bittersweet but highly rated note and their relationship and public interactions go cold due to how bad things look for them. They don't really talk to each other anymore until his graduation where the teacher goes to meet with him for one last consultation. She almost loses it at the prospect of letting yet another person walk away from her but he revises the bad end and insists on working together on their after story.

The main character, seeing a young boy about to hit a semi-truck in an intersection, tries to push the truck to safety but is run over and dies. He wakes up, and to his surprise realizes that he has been reborn as a truck. A pop-up menu informs him that he is a torakku-gami, and is now part of a meta-physical bureaucracy tasked with running over Japanese people in order to send them to parallel universes. Each episode he receives a request for a hero needed in another world, and he must find and run over a suitable candidate. When he does he gains experience and when he levels up he can distribute stat points into abilities such as being able to sense nearby otaku, mask his presence to launch sneak attacks, and attract balls towards intersections.

Protagonist-kun is a noble scion in a dwindling magic pre-industrial setting. His family's status is based on their knowledge of a technique for sealing people in stasis, something for which he has almost completed his training. When he was young, there was an incident in which cultists assaulted the family's keep in order to set free one of the most ancient prisoners kept there. That prisoner is a youth who was born as part of a ritual which can bind evil intention to an individual, thus his entrance into stasis would represent a way to keep evil from circulating in the cycle of incarnation. However, when the nobles and their servants arrive at the chamber where the sealed youth is kept, they find him sitting amidst the carnage of those who freed him and he asks to be sealed once more. Protagonist-kun is struck by his strange, non-wicked attitude and questions the youth while arguing that he might be allowed to remain free. Everyone argues against him, including the youth who admits to being an evil being, and the seal is restored. Now, ten years later, the keep is under siege and about to fall. Soldiers and servants move through the prison chambers killing criminals and others sealed there so that they cannot be freed, but Protagonist-kun is resolved to keep the evil one "alive." To do this, he must free the youth and strike a bargain that he be allowed to return to his eternal slumber if the two escape to the manse of another lineage capable of the sealing technique.

So, the two must traverse a country which Protagonist-kun never realized was so decayed while being pursued by a cult whose leader's goal is to mate with the youth in order to combine her own ritually manifest evil with his. Naive seigi no mikata and nihilistic sociopath chased by a sadistic yandere across a country where all sorts of situations arise to challenge Protagonist-kun's perception of good and evil.

The MC is a scientist/engineer that lives on a planet that was colonized 40 years ago. It was more than enough to create sprawling, large cities that also served as traveling hubs between each other.

He's a guy in his late 20's, has a nice job and a peaceful life...until that one incident. A terrorist attack from anti-genetic movements on the main lab the MC usually works (he wasn't there since he had a day off) results in a mutagenic virus to spread. It's not a normal virus since the mutations that follow are also causing evolution and adaptation. Most humans managed to not change, but they are all now hunted down by mutant flora and fauna, as well as those humans that did mutate into abominable predators.

MC's peaceful life turned into a every-day survival. Not only does he have to fight mutants, but also other people that turned into scavengers and bandits. He has the following goals: 1) Find anyone who can join him and who he can trust, 2) find a way to signal the Earth military and 3) survive long enough to get off the planet.

MC doesn't rely purely on weapons to get the job. As both engineer and scientist he researches the mutants and builds stuff fitted to counter them.

An orc chef running a tavern selling exotic meats with his apprentice (cute elf chick for easy appeal). The first two episodes are meant for character and world building, as we see their day to day routine and the people they interact with. A great catastrophe strikes however, and many a monsterslayer is forced to hang up/lose their blades, which removes the chef's main source of revenue and clientele. Now he and his apprentice have to become suppliers themselves and go out into the world hunting the monsters they previously only cooked to various results. To add to the cast would be some various friends, specifically the retired orc's mentor and another would-be monsterslayer.

An adventure/comedy series, twelve episodes with some life lessons as it involves treating nature with respect yadayada and overcoming adversity in the face of things you'd rather turn a blind eye to.

The orc originally intended to be a monsterslayer in his youth but was badly traumatized by his first experience, some parts would be dedicated to both him and the elf overcoming the sudden gravity of their new situation while also leaving room to keep it light-hearted with easier prey.

The setting would work better if the background was about Tokugawa Japan got balls deep into African colonization and had a sizable colony in east africa. Set the story in that colony. More realistically, colonization by Zheng He's fleets would be the better background. Makes for great allegorical material for Imperial Japan colonization as well as current chinese colonization of Africa.

The setting is science fiction with space travel. The MC's family is involved in psionic powers research and he gets kidnapped by a terrorist organization so his sister cooperates with them. Things go wrong and the protagonist gets killed while resisting, when he dies his latent psionic power releases a Shade - a psionic entity in his image and containing his recent memories but far surpassing a human, set to disappear after enough time passes or the dying person's last wish is fulfilled. He embarks on a journey to save his sister from Organization X.

He travels from planet to planet following their tracks and meeting supporting cast, which at first don't accept him as a human being but rather an automaton to accomplish an already dead person's target. As the story continues some of them though get closer to him, especially AI with which the MC shares mutual bond. The protagonist still can't accept the fact that he isn't an actual person due to his memories.

At the end he manages to find the Organization X's headquarters and rescues his sister. She quickly realizes what he is and thanks him as a Shade for help. The MC unexpectedly doesn't disappear due to the bonds made with his travel companions. She lectures him that a Shade with time will deteriorate straying further and further away from the original personality and start becoming a danger due to its power. She aims a gun and tells him that the real [protagonist's name] wouldn't kill his sister to live. He remarks that it's up to him to decide and cuts her down, after that he escapes in a space ship with his friends.

I concur with the other anon; this is much better than you were making it out to be, and I think you've a good sense for what your story needs. Keeping the action scenes short, for instance, and
not letting the story rest on its laurels.

Flash fiction is usually a term for very short stories, usually capping out at a page in length. It can be a good tool for practice, but I think if you're starting out, the two most important things are to write frequently and read a lot while keeping an eye on the author's techniques. Read as though it were your own work you were assessing.

Writing can be intimidating, but it's never too late to start, and as a consumer of narrative media, you already know most of the fundamentals behind the craft, even if you don't know them by name. A good book for starting out would be Screenplay by Syd Field or Save the Cat by Blake Snyder. Both were originally written for the film industry, but when you take a closer look, novels and films follow the same basic structural patterns. Best of luck!

This would work well for a DnD adventure, where the players provide the motivations and character arcs, but if you mean to tell it as a story, you'll need to work on those areas first. Just about any sort of world-building can be made to work, provided your characters are done well enough, but the reverse isn't true. Therefore, I suggest starting by realizing your characters.

>>159457044
That's much more interesting. Do you have answers to those questions?

>>159457288
It sounds like you're trying to tell an essentially American story about American slavery, American racial tensions, American police violence, American gangs, etc. but with Japan pasted on top of it all. Aside from the fact that slavery was banned in Japan circa 1590 and that during the era of colonial slavery the Jesuits were actually dealing in Japanese slaves instead, a hypothetical Afro-Japanese community wouldn't likely resemble the African American community much. You'd need to write a new history from the ground up for everyone involved, which you don't seem to have done.

>>159463045
Not that anon either, but while a "fall of the hero" ending can be incredibly powerful when done well, it doesn't suit every story and usually requires a very compelling tragic force. I don't see such a tragic force in that pitch, mostly because none of the characters are given any sort of personality.

>>159465210
You've given us a still picture with an interesting ambience; care to add a little motion to it? Who are these people? Why will I care about them?

>>159468097
Interesting tragedy. "Due to finally having some time to introspect and be alone God-Emperor calms down, becomes depressed and horrified at previous and current actions and what they have lead to" is a mighty heavy line, though; it's your turning point. I'd love to hear more about that, since I feel your pitch would live or die by how well that development is executed.

>>159469278
I guess that's an interesting origin story for a hilariously cliche mustache-twirling villain. I don't know how compelling it'd be as its own story, though. It just sounds like a long sequence of one chap being an asshole.

>>159469768
Sort of interesting, but although you seem to be pitching it as a superhero "deconstruction" or what have you, it seems to ultimately loop back around to a straightforward superhero story. Also, no characters.

>>159471672

sol/romance drama

The story takes place in China and the mc is a 16 year old whose parents are tried of his out of control behavior and poor school performance. He actually has above average grades and isn't really out of control just some social drinking/marijuana use and staying out past 10pm but you know how bat shit crazy chink parents are. They send him off to go live with his father's uncle that he only met once. He lives on a farm in the middle of of nowhere.

When he gets there his uncle is polite and friendly but also strict and sets him off to work on the farm right away. It also seems like his uncle doesn't want him there and he has to sleep in a small shack near the house. He is really bummed about having to be there but is a bit cheered up when he meets a 17 year old girl named Ming that lives there. After a 2-3 weeks he begins to notice something is off and finds out that the whole place in a big clandestine ketamine lab. He finds out his uncle and Ming's father are higher ups overseeing the production. MC is sent to work in the lab after his uncle realizes the kid is very knowledgeable for chemistry

Overtime he becomes closer to his uncle and Ming. One night him and Ming trip together while laying in the field under the stars with some product they swiped from the lab. On the come down they both open up and spill their guts to each other and fall in love. MC even gets approval from Ming's father.

After 6 months MC's parents send a letter offering to let him come home but he write back saying he is happy where he is and is staying.

1 1/2 years after mc arrived to the farm the place gets raided. Uncle tells them the kids had no idea what was going on and were 100% innocent. Ming and MC were let go but uncle and Ming's father got the death penalty.

The last scene shows MC and Ming in Thailand walking into a fancy restaurant shaking the hand of a sharply dressed man who says "I'm looking forward to going into business with you 2.

I honestly plan on showing the character development of the God-Emperor through flashbacks, sequences where we delve into the GE's mind and see his thoughts which are intertwined with the flashbacks, and episodes where the GE disguises himself as a commoner and goes out among the populace
Of course, since I am a fan of the GITS 1995 movie, we are occasionally going to have a 3-5 minute sequence where the GE just stares at something and thinks while the OST plays
I am also debating with myself over wheather or not to include episodes where the GE acquires even more power, but at a price. Yay or nay?

>Could work for a little while as a tribute to old films, but needs to have something that takes it beyond simple fanboying
Yeah that's one issue I've been facing since every time I try to come up with something it almost always end being a over done trope

For instance one of the ideas I thought about the most would be that Jun is referred to as having "weak fists" in a figurative sense since as one or two side characters would put it"he who fights fights for nothing, not even for the sake of fighting will have no weight behind their strikes", or something like that which while not a complex one the basic, bare bones arc would go something like:
>Jun at first denies it which starts to lead to him hitting walls he can't overcome, and not just in the sense of losing fights, could be a variety of other stuff.
>He after while he finally accepts that flaw but has no clue on what he should be fighting for.
>starts trying to find a reason through a variety of ordeals through jobs or other actions he normally would never do.
>finally finds a reason and leads to some character growth

The only issue is trying to figure out what the reason is, because if its something stupid like "muh friends" no matter how much effort you put into it, it'll just end up shit.

>>159444153
This sounds dumb at first but hear me out. World is set up as terrible and cruel place, violent monsters everywhere with mysterious origins. They invade a lil village and kill everyone there, except one kid who becomes the main protagonist. He escapes or whatever and gets to a safer city where he trains in their military. The military feels enough time has passed that they are now strong enough to fight the monsters when the monsters end up invading them.

The monsters completely stomp their way through the humans and the protagonist goes to fight them, backed up by his friends who we have gotten to know over training. He is then stomped on and killed by the monsters without managing to kill a single one.

The rest of the story follows the main protagonist friends and their fight for survival as they try to figure out a way to stop the monsters. All the setting and tools would be medieval and what not, none of that dumb future stuff or gun shit. Also the monsters should look creepy as fuck, and the kid they eat would be a very big oh shit moment people don't expect. He'll be a very stereotypical "Mary Sue" up till that point.
>>
>>159486191
The main character would be a stereotypical "ill person" who wears mostly white clothing with bandages on her head and black disheveled hair. Lives in some sort of public housing or mental hospital. Ambiguous disorder that involves hallucinations and really strange decision making, so cannot live as a person on her own. There is a conflict between directions of "I am your caretaker, so I will help you get better and integrate into society" and the many people who don't exist that she sees. Because of this, she is more suspect-able to Inanna's influences.

When "hero"ing, wears a really goofy costume that looks like a low-quality magical girl cosplay. Lots of pouches for tools.

The MC plays one of the less casual VMMORPGs on the market. He is currently at the level cap but being cut off from the endgame content due to playing the Gunsword class whose entire point is being an all rounder with high adaptability and speed, which makes it useless for the traditional roles required in the endgame boss raids .due to low DPS and inability to protect comrades from the monsters, only yourself.

The story follows the MC as he starts becoming more interested in PvP due to his predicament. As he ranks up in the official arena he becomes better and better at it due to his class finally being able to show its strong points and not many people knowing how to counter it due to being the least popular class thanks to its lack of PvE power. As he is clinging up the ranks of unitary gear arena and meeting new friends he becomes interested in the much more popular arena with own gear everyone is playing.

He gets his ass kicked due to having mediocre gear. He is soon after contacted by one of his friends from the previous arena that offers him to join her guild to get some good gear. He does as instructed and becomes surprised as the guild in fact didn't go raiding but rather ambushed several players coming from a raid and plundered their loot. Confused at first he becomes slowly used to his new gameplay style and begins climbing both the arena ranks and the player killer notoriety rankings.

The story follows his guild's daily adventures as they are under constant attacks from the server's bigger guilds while trying to get some gear and fame for themselves. Also awkward school moments when he realizes he has been PKing the girl he has crush on and it keeps happening.

Is Boku no Hero really a deconstruction? It's just normal anime tropes but with superpowers instead of other sorts of superpowers.

>That's much more interesting. Do you have answers to those questions?
Yes and no.
1) An enemy organization. The MC's side is using technology to do it, although the other side is either significantly more technologically advanced, or is using actual magic (this distinction is not determined for the MC)
2) It is clear that for the people who do get sent to other worlds, doing so is highly positive, likely as it is for whoever brought them over, eg court wizard / etc, but for the world itself, it is destabilizing. Isekaid people present an instability to the world, the benefit must outweigh the costs of say, decimating enemy nations or rampant revolution of technology.
3) This was a shitty question, nevermind.
4) Either the ends justify the means, or the higher-ups aren't telling the whole story.

The organization and the enemy were once a single group, hence why they have the same dimension-traveling tech
The leader of the MC's group was in some way affected by the things that lead up to the organization's creation and then its schism
The enemy is looking to amass enough people with resources drawn from the other worlds for utopic preservation, at the cost of destroying every defective world that self-destructs from the apparent instability (roughly half of them)
The MC's world is one of the defectives

Majored in creative writing, with a focus on editing genre fiction. This makes for enjoyable practice, and it's a delight to see writers developing their ideas.

There's a good premise here, but it currently doesn't seem as though your protagonist has full agency, particularly at the climax (the raid). Generally the climax is where your protagonist should make their most meaningful decisions, rather than passively watch events unfold.

>>159488791
If that's your intent, you could do worse than adapting the narrative structure of A Christmas Carol. It has the dramatic beats your story needs; just switch it for a tragic ending.

Hinges on the viewer being able to get deeply invested in imaginary game mechanics. That said, there are obviously tons of people out there who meet that description, and I'm sure they'd enjoy this.

>>159499016
I like the spoilered bit; it'd make for a very strong conflict with some good thematic depth. Are the isekai scenarios they're dealing with as trite as they usually are in anime, such as most of them being high school boys, etc.?

A loli gets addicted to working out and goes full kenshiro mode. After wandering through a back ally one day, she finds herself thrown into the world of loli deathsports, where lolis compete against each other with their lives on the line.
Battles include minefield soccer, grenade baseball and kerosene water fights etc.
Everyone who competes is miraculously impossible to kill, surviving ridiculous situations (i.e. being torn to pieces by a tiger or falling in lava) with relatively little explanation.

>such as most of them being high school boys, etc.?
Some are, others are salarymen, girls even, whatever, mainly this is for taking the piss out of "popular" trends.
A little bid of sadism in that being abducted to another world with no way of returning, no way to contact your loved ones, is stressing shit even before factoring in the assassins.
Part of the world instability is due to isekaid people largely not being people who would actually be competent in that kind of situation, although a few that are would also be introduced as a bigger challenge later on.
The settings of those worlds are kind of an afterthought, maybe a few reminiscent of places in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle?

I'm obligated to recommend reading The Dark Lord of Derkholm. It's about a fantasy world that's been conquered by a corporation from the real world and forced to stage isekai adventures for tourists. The protagonist is a family-man wizard who ends up elected as the season's Dark Lord for the overthrowing, but becomes entangled in a plot to overthrow the CEO of the corporation that's enslaved them instead.

Reposting from a previous thread:
>The story takes place in a city where pretty much everyone has superpowers due to some meteor shower sprending supernatural shit through the world or whatever bullshit excuse for a mass empowerement event you want to come up with. These supernatural powers are related to your personality, you only get your power once your personality is defined enough for the power to manifest in a clear way and it can evolve or even change depending on how your personality changes with time.
>Due to everyone getting powers, crime is on the rise so the government creates an agency to deal with the superpowered criminals.
>The members of a particular branch of the Agency that is located in that city are the MCs (with each arc giving the spotlight to certain members), though if you want a single protagonist then that role would be given to the one in charge of that branch, an ex-police officer who used to use his powers to fight crime till he had a run-in with a criminal organization that caused him to lose his partner (and lover) and also grow afraid of using his own powers.
>Initially, the story doesn't follow an overall plot but rather is separated into independent arcs in which the Agency deals with a different case and a "villain of the week", though people from previous arcs show up and even have relevant roles in the current arc from time to time. Eventually, though, it's revealed that pretty much all the villains of previous arcs are connected to a crime lord. Said crime lord is also the guy who killed MC's partner/lover, his powers allow him to manipulate other's people brains, meaning he can change or erase someone's personality (and thus his powers), erase memories, etc.
Even with the crime lord shit, the idea would be for the story to focus on relatively small scale events instead of having the MCs end up facing the ultimate superpowered villain, saving the world, finding the truth behind the meteor shower or shit like that.

The story takes place in a steampunk world where, with the evolution of architecture and engineering, humanity now lives in the top of the buildings. Humanity has forgotten how was the surface.

The main character is a man who wishes to become a explorer to discover the secrets of the surface.

After his female best friend's brother receives threats from a group of delinquents, they are thrown off the buildings and land safely on the surface, where they discover that lives strange creatures and a group of humans who wishes to destroy those who live in the top of the buildings since they abandoned who is still in the surface.

A girl, age 15, decides that she wants to see what the future is like, and goes to a super secret government facility to test out their prototype cryogenisis program. She sets it for 200 years later.
Turns out that the so-called "male womb" has been made. Men are the only gender in Japan, as all women were either eradicated or driven out in the "Great Gender Wars". And as luck would have it, she is the only girl left on the island.
After waking up, she realizes that she needs to disguise, so she cuts her hair, takes an ancient scientists clothes, and manages to blend into society. However, she knows she needs to go to school, regardless, as there is much she has missed, and something in the back of her minds tells her she needs to go there for some specofic reason.
And the reason is an underground club called the "straight club". A group of 6 boys, after discovering books 100 years old on the subject of sex (actually just some perv's collection of doujinshi), have awakened to the truth, that man is meant for women, not for each other. And soon, as one of them is in a class with the girl, they figure out that the only girl in Japan is right ther with them, in their very own school. After they force her into the Straight Club, she ends up being the subject of a harem anime.
The boys themselves are quite varied:
>The otaku, and the one who discovered the doujinshi collection
>The soccer player who's gotten tired of his fathers trying to get him into relationships with other guys
>the lone trap, the one who decided to take cues from doujins and mimic the females, so that the boys in the "straight club" could have something to pine over
>the mangaka, and a very particular artist who honestly just wants to paint a true nude painting of the girl, both so he can document the last girl in japan and so he can fap to it
>the deliquent who found out about it through the soccer player but became genuinely interested afterward
>The pussy who just wants to not be laughed at

I'm actually in the process of drafting this out and then posting the final on RRL.

The setting is in a fantasy world with countries of varying focuses(technology, culture, yadayada). MC belongs to one of the secret polices where he finds transmigrated isekai template protagonist and either eliminate them or manipulate them into joining their side using psychological means (whether it be through nostalgia attacks or torture). The reason why they're are doing is because every time a isekai protagonist lands in a world, they would always mess it up whether it be through pure OP or through introduction of technological advancements(machine guns in a world where people still use spears) so basically they want to retain the balance. The MC in particular is a magic school student (disguise) cuz that's where every template protagonist goes to show off their special abilities.
>>
>>159499042
I think this one is good.
>>
>>159502390

Isekai world where Mc is talentless. He's born into an empire comprised of "dark races", mandrake-humans, jesterlike beings, vampires, werewolves, liches and etc. The empire declares war on another nation because they tried to negotiate for resources but was rejected due to their dark origins so they had no choice but to forcibly take it. The Mc gets drafted and since he is all new to the killing and shit he lets a little girl escape on purpose. That girl turned out to be the princess and she formed an army that starts retaliating. The "dark empire" is criticized and feared because of propaganda, basically turned into bad guys-- completely ignoring that they tried for a peaceful negotiation. When the Mc meets the girl(now an Empress recognized and supported by surrounding countries scared of the Dark Empire) she thanks him-- and that's all I have. Idk what the fuck I was smoking but it's good to have it written somewhere

An airborne virus sweeps throughout the world one day, killing every male human except for around 10 who have a genetic immunity to the virus. The world goes to shit and a billion or so more people die from the resulting chaos and disease caused by 3 billion dead bodies, but eventually the remaining women restore some semblance of society. Each major population centre (Europe, China, India, North America, etc.) has one male who is kept in captivity and farmed for sperm, but generally treated pretty well (exception being Africa and Middle-East, where they're pretty much warlords worshipped as gods). Sperm is shipped around the world and every child born after the virus has one of the 10 men as their father. Lesbianism is also much more common, seeing as there are no available men.

There are two living males with genetic immunity that are unaccounted for however: One is a trans woman who is attempting to live a normal life as a woman, and the other is a gay teenage boy who is disguised as a girl, travelling around the world with an older lesbian female friend. The story follows the duo's adventures as they drive from place to place, (in the style of shows like kino no tabi) chilling, living life and exploring the new world (and occasionally the lesbian hooks up with the chicks she meets). To fund their travels however, he has to sell his sperm, which alerts his existence to an organisation determined on capturing him to sell his sperm for money and tries to track them down over the course of their travels.

In the climax, they catch up to them and manage to catch his friend while he escapes. Ultimately, he trades himself in for her freedom. I haven't decided on what happens after this point: either he escapes by holding a gun to his head with the threat of suicide, reunites with his friend and they continue life, or he accepts captivity on the condition that he's allowed to live with his friend and occasionally arrange meetings with the other guys in the world.
