Who cares, where are the threads on the Hi-Evolution trilogy? The first movie is scheduled for September 16th and looks so promising, yet I only saw two threads, in total, when the trilogy was announced. Is this what this board has come to?

It's even worse. With Bleach you at least had the beginning, the SS arc, and some parts of the HM arc that most fans agree were great before it went to shit; you also had memorable villians, fights, and characters. FT doesn't have any of that. Name one fight in that series that matches up to Ichigo vs Byakuya, or name a villian that's as good as Gin.

Honestly the only thing FT ever had going for it were the semen demons, and Bleach had plenty of those. The only reason FT is popular is because of the pairings and hot girls.

I'll be honest- Bleach was my guilty pleasure while the anime and manga were still releasing. It was beyond mind-numbingly dumb, and made no sense 99% of the time, but I enjoyed it and thought it was a fun ride through and through. That being said, live action adaptions are always shit, so I'm not looking foward to this.

I think Kubo knew the timeline he had, but simply fucked it up. I mean how many irrelevant characters and fights did he waste time on this final arc? The Toshiro/Kenpachi/Byakuya vs Gerard is the biggest example of this. He's always been bad with that, and with his pacing in general. I do think he wanted to show a lot more, but his worsening health and pacing were huge-if not-the main problems.

The whole happy ending was what Kubo obviously wanted, and even stated that Ichika-Kazui meeting was his main goal in the end. The ending would've been better received if he showed the missing characters/explained the SK/gave us a final good fight and shown the missing bankais in my opinion. A lot of the things Kubo didn't show us from that list are just fan theories that got way too out of hard.

Some of those fights were among the best in the arc though, and many of those 'irrelevant' characters were the ones people wanted to see fight the most. I think I'd be more disappointed if Kubo skipped those fights just to give us more exposition in the finale, especially since there would be no way to beat Yhwach without an asspull regardless. Two chapters of timeskip were more than enough to get the point across, and the novels are a better format for exposition dialogue and 'where are they now' confirmations.

I do think that Kubo would've given us that exact happy ending even if the series went on for two more years. If Kubo didn't want the whole married with kids ending then he wouldn't have given it to us, it's honestly that simple. He could've dedicated the last two chapters to the rest of the nakama catching up to where Ichigo and Renji where and the the final chapter could've been them leaving SS heading to the human world or instead of a 10 year timeskip, he could've done a short three year one. Kubo had a lot of options yet went with the married with kids one.

There were always the huge facts that so many of his enemies(grimmjow, aizen, ulquiorra, ginjou, tsuskishima, and nnoitra) would taunt him about Orihime as a means to fuck with him. It was the classic "enemy goes for the love interest to anger hero" trope.

I do agree that the amount of enemies was completely ridiculous. Honestly we only needed enemies for the important/semi-important characters to face off against after the first invasion; Renji/Rukia/Toshiro/Zaraki/Urahara/Shunsui.

The remaining enemies could've gone to semi-important characters like Ikkaku/Hisagi/Rangiku etc and they could've formed a team to take them down since it would've been more believable that 3 shinigami took down one Quincy instead of just 1 vs 1 since they got BTFO in the first invasion. This way Kubo also could've given those characters a moment to shine.
