Jonathan was the best JoJo. He may have not been the smartest like Joseph or """cool""" like Jotaro but he was the best JoJo. He was the pinnacle of humanity. Despite being raised in a pampered and rich environment he still turned out kind and honorable. He dealt with horrible events with bravery despite never having experiences like that before and that commends respect. He had a natural wellspring of hamon and even if he let his anger get a hold of him near the end when he defeated Dio he still felt bad about it. His last action was to hug the person that made his life a living hell because from the beginning all he wanted was to be his friend.

There were originally two trees close to each other, but the earthquake that hit Morioh caused them split apart.
This can be the reason why some characters were inconsistent with the naming of the trees throughout the story.
This could also explain why there is one on the coast and one near the Higashikatas.

The tree on the coast is protecting "something" (Damo and Yasuho mention this) while the other just fuses things with the power of the 'Corpse' which we already saw.
The power of the Holy Corpse could have very well created the new type of Rokakaka along with the graft Josefumi created within the land.
This new Rokakaka could be same one Dolomite talked about a couple chapters ago with it being a 'new species' and sought after by the scientists trying to achieve immortality.
Dolomite mentions that because he knows nothing about it and lived because of it.

I think Giorno was done well. Everything was completely justified with him. The fate theme was also somehow done alright, although probably unintentionally. Fugo ultimately broke free from the fate of loneliness and betrial that awaited him and broke free of his stand by accepting it (like accepting your fate). Murolo also kinda reflects that. Not to mention that Giorno predicted that Fugo was going to make it like it was written by fate. As a sequel it kinda fails, but as a spinoff it works just fine. Not a masterpiece but definitely a fascinating story

He fucked over a stadium of completely uninvolved people just to humiliate and terrify Fugo as much as possible. He didn't even try to use his own powers of persuasion on the drugs squad. He ordered the death of a chronic pain-suffering, legitimately mentally ill fourteen-year-old child.

He was just DIO 2.0, which is particularly unforgivable that VA showed him becoming more like JONATHAN as time went on.

They need better plates and to be tidier, overall. Shit like the overhanging crap on that first drink just looks stupid, and overall most of the stuff is really lacking in colour and neatness. Most of it could use garnishes too, something to make it pop so it isn't just shades of brown. Doing it all the time would probably get grating so I understand why Araki dialled it back, but I wish it'd be shown a tiny bit more. He probably still does it mentally but having it narrated to us is kind of unimportant in the long run, unless in a future battle the exact length of something is important, like an enemy having a 30 centimetre range so Josuke finds a 40cm stick to bet him up with or something.

If Steel Ball Run was a 4 at it's lowest moments and a 10 at it's highest, then JoJolion has been at a minimum a 7 and at a highest 9. The best part of Steel Ball Run was the climax so I'm waiting to see how Araki handles that, because otherwise I'd say it's already better than SBR in terms of consistency and Araki actually knowing what the fuck he's doing with the characters he's made besides a handful. Easily the most consistently high quality Part so far, I really hope Araki doesn't drop the ball anytime soon since it's got so much potential and the setup has been ace so far.

I think Scary Monsters was when Steel Ball Run became amazing and it stayed great for almost all of what was after it. The start had some good moments, but wasn't anything like the story later.

My main gripe with 7 is how abysmally paced it is and how so many interesting characters were dropped or shittily reworked as it went along and Araki kept changing what he wanted it to lead to. Early Part 7 is meh and has almost nothing to do with what comes after the magazine change besides the setting, and everyone introduced in it besides the main 4 (Johnny, Lucy, Diego, Gyro) are shelved. Mid Part 7 is a drastic improvement, but it's still awkwardly paced since he was still writing like it was a weekly manga, and cool characters he clearly had plans for like Sandman are brought back and killed off in the shittiest ways imaginable just to tie off any plot threads still lingering from when it was in WSJ besides the main plot. The last third of SBR is excellent though, my only issue with it is how more characters like Hot Pants, Wekapipo and Diego are killed unsatisfactorily since he finally figured out what he wanted the story to be about and it didn't have a place for them in it and that it feels like Araki was just trying to end it quickly. It has a huge identity crisis and fluxes dramatically in quality. Still my second favourite Part but boy does it rustle me over how much more it could have been. It's fanboys are also insufferable but that's got nothing to do with SBR itself.

One of the major things for JJL for me is that many if the villain of the months actually show up repeatedly. You see two of the Rock humans interacting and appearing repeatedly. There's loads of call backs, hints so despite the bigger cast it feels so much tighter.
I was expecting Hato for example just to be a tiny background character but the whole Vitamin C thing brings it back that feeling of inter connected stories around the family.

I wouldn't count Kyo out or give her the Hot Pants label yet. I could see if Jobin /Kato ever got their own arc then it would be against her.

It could be anywhere from 3 to 10 years, the way the plot has been structured makes it hard to tell how far in we are since the core mystery can go as deep as Araki wants it too and has practically limitless potential. It's clearly gonna be longer than 7 at least, as good as it was you could tell Araki was getting bored of it after a while and tried to rush it a little. He's in Part 8 for the long haul, but how long we don't know. It seems more and more probable each chapter it could even be the last Part, since it's incorporating so many old elements from prior Parts and in recent chapters a lot of things that could potentially flip the entire message of the series on it's head have been introduced, like he's finally reached a point where he could deconstruct his whole ethos about fate, immortality and justice and either smash it completely or rebuild it entirely but even stronger than before. As you can probably guess from my enthusiasm, JoJolion is really going places at the moment and if done right it'll easily be the best manga Araki has written to date.

I agree on that last point. I really like 6 but there was nowhere you could really go after it, not even taking into consideration how it ended. Araki himself has said he feels immensely satisfied with how Part 6 turned out, more so than anything he'd written before and that he thought he'd reached his creative peak in the designs and abilities, and that because of that he simply had to go back to square one and begin all over again or he'd just keep writing the same thing over and over again. While on the whole I think SBR is just ok, the excellent moments it got more of as it trod along make up for most of it. It honestly feels like Araki's reaching that same point he reached in SO here again in JJL. It was definitely worth it in the end.

Censorship isn't David's fault, Japanese networks aren't allowed to show extreme violence or sex even at late hours. On the other hand, when it comes to home releases what they're allowed to show goes beyond what a lot of Western countries do. Basically as long as it's a TV anime and not an OVA series it'll have censorship, no exceptions.

It was only on screen for like a second or two but it was the very first frame we saw KQ in, which is what makes it so bad. It was still a good adaptation like the others but boy was it rushed and cheap. The ED only aired starting in episode 2 and even then it was an unfinished version and we only got the finished one the week after, and the third OP released on schedule but they had to use reused footage from past episodes for parts of it until it was actually done the following week. That's what working on 3 anime at once when you're only a medium sized relatively unknown studio does I guess.

Some of the flashbacks could be changed around. They could move Diavolo's flashback to the Metallica arc. Seems more fitting to have it in his hometown. Maybe make Mista's flashback not come out of nowhere and Bruno's could be shown much earlier.
Everything happens one after another so they can't combine fights together. Hopefully Araki will advise them on things that he wants added or changed.
