Not sure about psuedo intellectuals but the atmosphere and characters make it really enjoyable to watch. I guess you also have to like that sort of setting and fairy tale like story.

it was just a really heartwarming story without being too blithe nor being overbearingly edgy, and it wasn't afraid of making characters encounter sadness in their path to a more happier state

encountering sadness is something anons like to shy away from if not downright get scared of it like they have sadophobia, like everything they watch must be "comfy" and "cute girls doing cute things"
