When he died he went to the real of the gods and trained with King Kai, getting taught KaioKen and Spirit Bomb, a pair of techniques invented by a god. He's used Potara earring twice now, which are tools of the gods. he straight up underwent a ritual to become a demigod then trained with a higher god and his angel to combine that with his own saiyan powers.

I think you're a little off base here. The destruction energy that was used on Frieza and Goku isn't the same thing as the Hakai technique used by the GoDs. The Hakai technique is much more powerful and we don't really fully understand how it works.

My current theory on it is that the hakai can only be used against opponents that are weaker or equal in strength to the user. In other words, you can't hakai someone significantly stronger than you, further, the stronger the target, the more power needs to be put into the technique (for an opponent of equal strength the user would need to put all of their energy into the technique for it to work).

The destruction energy is just that, the energy of a GoD which has innately destructive qualities and has little relation to the Hakai technique except that the technique can be used more efficiently if the user is utilizing destruction energy. The concept of the gods gifting power to mortals to use against powerful foes is a common theme in many fictional works.

Zeno's deletion is different in that it is absolute and works on anyone regardless of power but is less a technique and more an innate ability possessed by Zeno.

Also Goku's character is loosely based on the character from Journey to the West who fought against the gods, surpassed the limits of mortal flesh then became a sort of god himself. Being able to match the gods themselves is pretty thematically appropriate for him.

I think that it might legitimately be the concept that was shown in the manga's version of the Goku Black arc of Goku containing all the energy of SSB inside himself. Biggest difference being that this is the next step after that of completely containing it to the point that the blue colour completely disappears.

I say this mainly because Toei and Toriyama have wanted to sync the manga and anime up properly for a while now, in fact Toriyama wanting the manga and anime to be the same is the entire reason that Toei took so long with a bunch of filler episodes leading up to the ToP. I think the idea is to have the two stories be at the same point by the time the ToP arc ends.

If they went about it the old way, they could still defuse easily by just letting Buu absorb them. The time limit was introduced because Vegito was overpowered, not because they needed a method to defuse him.
