Surprised she hasn't been posted yet, but I suspect she get posted often enough.
Her visual design was the only reason I watched RE:. I didn't even bother to start from the beginning, just from when she first appeared, but then did go and watch from the start. Its an interesting enough concept.
Anyway, her visuals, to me look like she came straight from Black Lagoon, of which all the ladies were bad-ass and attractive. Honestly if you inserted her into BL I bet no-one could tell otherwise. Character and story wise, obviously the art styles are different.
The nice thing about her is that she is very emotive in a rather serious stern faced series, which is refreshing. Also the fact that she is a complete wild card keeps the show moving, as I think it could have quickly gotten a little dull and basic.

Yes, I did. I don't remember the exact subs I used, but I do remember they were recommended by /a/ in the threads so I figured they were pretty decent. I actually do like dialogue driven shows, and initially that was a large draw of the show for me. The issue is that a lot of the cast really isn't interesting enough to warrant the huge amounts of screentime they get or the conversations they are in. In addition, a lot of the dialogue is meandering and meaningless, leading me to essentially watching banter with varying degrees of wit and humor on screen for hours while waiting to get to the people and parts I actually liked. I really only ever enjoyed Araragi with Hachikuji and Shinobu, and Kaiki was always great. Some of the initial parts with the other characters were decent, but they quickly overstayed their welcome and became a hindrance to the show, rather than a plus; not only that, but I just outright disliked several characters like Cat and Snake so getting through their portions was especially dreadful. The show has excellent elements, it's just too schizophrenic for my tastes and devotes far too much time to characters who do not deserve it.

I also dislike the nonlinear storytelling that the series utilizies heavily, so that didn't help either.

I think the only shows I've picked up not because of the girl(s) are Mushishi and Tatami Galaxy.

Sad thing is they're probably the best shows I've watched.
