Great to see this is back. Still by far the best SoL work out of japan in the last 15 years.

That said, I still find it jarring how the author just skipped over the 2nd & 3rd year of school like it was nothing.

Am I wrong for thinking this is boring? I liked FMA and Arslan (manga both). The characters are shallow and it feels like state sponsored propaganda to get kids interested in repopulating the countryside ghost villages. I'm about 40 chapters in. (inb4 actionfag: I love Mushishi.) Does it get better?
