Is Cybernetics Guardian that well-animated but forgetful anime about the guy with a lion-like power armour in some cyberpunk world?

I will say I was tripping balls on magic mushrooms when I watched it, so I don't remember much of the story, except seeing a bunch of cyborgs made up out of 11-dimensional rainbow-coloured translucent eyeballs beat the shit out of each other as ancient Egyptian knowledge about the true nature of Anime was beamed into my head from the core of the Earth. I was pretty far gone.
