Karna did use Vasavi Shakti against Sieg(fried). They were tanking each other's attacks(Karna tanking Balmung, Sieg tanking Brahmastra Kundala) and Sieg was said to becoming stronger and stronger as they fight so Karna used VS. Astolfo helped and blocked it using the NP shield that Achilles lended to him, Akhilleus Kosmos. He lent it as a favor that Chiron asked Achilles; to protect the homunculus he saved before(Sieg).
VS was blocked by AK which disappeared after a single use. Sieg then went for the kill before Karna was able to fire BK again. In exchange for using VS, Karna's armor NP, Kavacha and Kundala, disappeared. Plus it was said that the way K&K disappeared was pretty painful for Karna's body(literally getting ripped off his skin), so Sieg's attack was the finishing blow to his already damaged body.

Wow, this was probably the worst first episode I've seen in a while and that's saying something with garbage I've been unlucky to stumble upon in recent seasons. There wasn't a single good thing about it. Hell, even Viral's VA sounded like crap. It takes some skill to ruin such awesome voice.

And that's before mentioning what a fucking piece of garbage MC boy is. Apocrypha was set up as a 7 v 7 war between Servants, and most of the first volume seemed dedicated to setting up a huge conflict between the two sides which flipped between perspectives a lot and showed off everyone.

Then Siegfried killed himself to save some random Homunculus who gained the ability to turn into Siegfried and suddenly the plot began revolving around him and him alone, with barely any focus on the more interesting characters. This was never even hinted at in previews for the novels, which pissed people off. It's a near-universal view that Sieg ended up ruining the potential Apoc had and ended up turning it into the adventures of a generic LN protagonist that had others die to power him up and then lead to a ripoff of the Realta Nua Last Episode.

Yes i said Siegfried's physical form has disappeared though as revealed by Jeanne in V2 his soul still lives in Sieg even though it's not awake at all,although despite this no one but Sieg and Jeanne knows that Siegfried still lives on in him,although Karna somehow knew he still existed in the world.
Also i'll clear up some things:
-Sieg activated Deadcount Shapeshifter by himself,he regained consciousness after he was defribillated by Fran's Blasted Tree.
-Karna was told by Shirou Saber of Black's true name and his fate but despite being told this,he thinks that Siegfried still exists somehow and wants to meet Sieg to ask why Siegfried is still alive even though he disappeared and after confirming why,he wishes to fight Sieg who has Siegfried's soul inside him to finish their duel.
-the reason why Sieg can take on Siegfried's form is because Homunculi is easier to possess by Servants than humans who are harder.meaning that every time Sieg uses Deadcount Shapeshifter and takes on Siegfrieds form,Siegfried was possessing him each time he did that.because of this Siegfried and Karna's duel can still be fulfilled because of Siegfried posessing Sieg.
-the dream with Fafnir may have to do with Sieg having Siegfried's heart and repeated uses of Deadcount Shapeshifter,though Sieg takes over Siegfried's place and turns into him every time he had the dream,even though it looks like Fafnir is trying to kill Sieg,V4 reveals it's actually trying to destroy Balmung instead of Sieg.the Balmung in the dream may have been a manifestation of Sieg and Fafnir is probably a manifestation of the Deadcount Shapeshifter's corruption.

Quite an action-packed start. Using 'in media res' worked well as a hook since every other Fate anime starts out with an info dump right out the gate. At least they eased us into it this time.

So Darnic Yggdmillenia stole the Greater Grail during the 3rd War (before Fate/Zero) and separated from the Mage's Association. And the MA are sending Biker Bro & others to retrieve the Grail in a 7v7 war. Seems straightforward enough.

Obligatory praise for Sawashiro. So glad we get more range from Mordred now since F/GO can only give me so much. She'll do Best Girl justice.

Comparisons to ufotable are inevitable but so far, I say A-1 held their own with this episode. Hopefully we won't see too much quality.

Most of it looked great - loved seeing the Clock Tower and Trifas in all their glory, in addition to the Servants of course. Gotta give A1 props for this. The fight scene at the beginning - Mordred vs Saber of Black in particular - could've been smoother however, but overall I still liked what I saw. Hyped to see the full version.

Mordred's moment at the end was perfect, I adore her aggressively smug grin (with fangs!) and angry Sawashiro is music to my ears. Her and Kairi are are gonna be a fun pair to follow.

Assassin of Red and Shirou are also a pair I'll be looking out for. She's a personal favourite of mine from her design and what I've heard about her backstory and role, and her voice sounds just as delightful.

That peek at Lancer of Black identity was glorious too, can't wait to actually see it in action.

One thing I'm less sure about is Matsuoka voicing Flat - he doesn't do it for me, and I associate him too much with other roles. Happy Flat got a cameo though, his student-master relationship with Waver is great. Fate/Strange Fake really needs an adaptation as soon as it's complete.

Human Order is explained in Extella, and FGO. A world of immortality is a world of stagnation; nothing more will be created, nothing more needs to be created if humans are already complete in their ways. They need for nothing, want for nothing, a false peace just because they don't suffer. Its because mankind suffers and dies that they try to accomplish something before they die, they try their hardest to leave something behind, they try to move forward to make it have meant something. Its hammered in a dozen times in recent story entries that immortality will always lead to stagnation, and stagnation leads to the death of the universe.

A world-line where people are immortal would be purged eventually. It would reach the exact opposite result desired.
