Did this conversation seem odd to anyone else? Agni kept being drawn weirdly and Lean seems like she has a couple surprised reaction panels but it's hard to tell if they're intentional because Lean's always looks freaked out.

Still, she does seem visibly disturbed by his answer in pic related. She always looks somewhat spooked but she's completely wide-eyed in that panel.

Well, the spirit bear was an easy "brute force" monster to use anyway that was pretty much only good for taking on humans. It was always the first one to go down against the knockers, after all. He at least got Gugu the dragon man to make up for it. All those years Gugu spent on getting FIT definitely weren't for naught.
