Rumour has it that another long/well established anime studio has gone bankrupt but hasn't officially announced it yet because they still have a show that is currently airing.

Some are speculating that it may be Artland who are yet to finish Sin: Nanatsu no Taizai.
>>
>>159188521
>they still have a show that is currently airing.
Could be MAPPA too
>>
>>159188928
MAPPA is hardly long established.
>>
Which studio has an anime airing this season, doesn't have an anime airing in the next few seasons, and is well-established?
>>
>>159188928
You also have:
Seven Mortal Sins (Artland)
Atom: The Beginning (OLM)
Re:Creators (Troyca)
Sagrada Reset (david production)
Sakura Quest (PA WORKS)

But most of those seem either implausible or haven't been around long enough.
>>
>>159189093
Out of all of these only Artland and David fits, and I doubt David would go Bankrupt.
>>
>>159189226
Please no ;_;
>>
>>159189291
why?
>>
>>159189226
David only really started in 2007 so they are comparatively recent compared to many companies too.

Although looking at the credits for Sin: Nanatsu no Taizai there is another studio credited TNK. They have been around since 2000 and have done shows like Highschool DxD and School Days.
>>
>>159189226
David isn't long established at all, their first series was from 2009

Please let it be them. they deserve to go bankcrupt
>>
>>159189400
Saying that Highschool DxD is supposed to have a new series announced.

>>
>>159189336
I like Sin, and I want to see it end. I even order the BDs.
>>
>>159188521
>Another season of Mushishi never

The list of their works is pretty sad, only Mushishi being worth anything
>>
>>159189336
meant for >>159189226
>>
>>159189336
Probably a jojofag. If David goes under the rest of JoJo will never be animated.
>>
>>159189423
No mention of the studio.
>>
>>159189423
Even author shitted on the anime so he will probably beg for another studio to continue.
>>
>>159189093
P.A. Works got the deal with Cygames in 2018 (Uma Musume) so it's totally out from being bankrupt.
>>
>>159189429
I though you were going to be worried about Mushishi.

>>159189449
They worked on LoGH and SDF Macross too although they weren't the main studio on those.
>>
Didn't Emon just inject money on Artland not six months ago?
>>
>>159189472
Good. Less fujoshit and shonenshit .
>>
>>159189093
>Troyca
They're Aniplex's slave. I doubt they will go bankrupt this fast
>david production
Isn't they got a bunch of money from Jojo?
>PA WORKS
Pretty unlikely they go bankrupt
>>
>>159189557
Who cares about Mushishi?
>>
>>159189610
>Isn't they got a bunch of money from Jojo?
Pretty sure david just gets paid for being contracted, not what happens after
>>
>>159189562
http://www.animeanime.biz/archives/22877

Yes they did get investment from Emon but perhaps it wasn't enough or they gave up on keeping it alive?
>>
It can only be Artland.
>>
>>159189646
people with taste
>>
>>159189830
I suppose it could be a studio that does daytime animation that nobody would even consider? But that seems unlikely too.
>>
>>159188928
MAPPA had two massive hits last year.
>>
>>159189902
Maybe Mushishi would get picked up by another studio anyway. It does quite well in sales.
>>
>>159189093
OLM shouldn't even be considered. They're doing fine animating kids shows funded by toy companies.
>>
Sin: Nanatsu no Taizai has had numerous "production issues" throughout this season, which has resulted in a seiyuu discussion episode (4.5) and just recently a clip show of lewd stuff that happened in the series. (10.5) Given the reaction on Japanese blogs, and the fact that some sourced industry animators have hinted at who it is, it's pretty much looking like Artland. Sin was supposed to air in Summer 2016, by the way. I wouldn't be surprised if this adaptation killed the studio because the company that owns the brand is fucking terrible.
>>
>>159190134
Not to mention their parent company Imagica is huge.

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-12-22/imagica-robot-to-acquire-pokemon-anime-studio-olm-for-2.858-billion-yen/.96815
>>
Can't read japanese but are they implying show that is airing right now or will air this summer? In this case Gonzo also fits.
>>
>>159190066
The manga has been completely adapted though, so there wouldn't be a new Mushishi season anyway.
>>
>>159190396
Then nothing of value was lost.
>>
>>159190342
According to the tweets being cited the reason they are speculating that the reason this bankruptcy hasn't been announced yet it that the studio in question has a series broadcasting currently. They say maybe they will announce it officially when they finish like GANGSTA and Manglobe. So the implication is that the show would be one from Spring that is yet to finish.
>>
It's Troyca.
Re:Infodump is a big flop, they must have spent at least $5 million on it, there's no way they're recouping that cost.
>>
>>159191486
They aren't even on the production committee.
It is funded by Shogakukan, Aniplex and ABC Animation. The only way they are going to have lost out on that is through poor management of finances, overspending budget and so on. The sales are largely irrelevant to their financial well being.
>>
>Artland
Literally who?
>>
>>159189551
That really does not mean they can not go bankrupt.
>>
>>159195007
They probably won't be though given the fact that they have many upcoming projects.
>>
it's trigger

I think you can cross off PA Works since they just finished building a new studio.
>>
>>159189449
I'm not positive on this, but wasn't all of mushishi's source material animated between seasons 1, 2 and the OVA?
>>
>>159189646

I do.

you'll be surprised how common building new headquarters and going bankrupt often go hand in hand.

Google new building curse. When a company starts up or they're small they make do with what they got, once they experience success it's natural they'd want to move on to some 'proper' building or even god forbid, build one. That's a lot of capital you'd be tying up when maybe just some upgrades could have done the job.
>>
>>159196117

Literally going to announce new series tomorrow
