Because the other two series you mentioned pioneered certain tropes and concepts that are still in effect today. Inuyasha, on the other hand, is just typical shounenshit, and there were already a good amount of those by the time it started. It was also kind of boring and over-long.

Then the anime went on a hiatus 'Samuri Jack' style for one final season that was more of a wrap-up when the manga had already ended.

I like it well enough, although I'm only following by the anime and the third season has gotten way too episodic, barely introducing any new recurring characters and most stories are only one third of an episode.

It's closer to Ranma or UY than to Inuyasha, although so far there has been no actual fighting arc, unlike what Ranma had sometimes, even though the characters have super human abilities and often there are short battles.

I really liked InuYasha, and was into it up until it officially ended around 2013, with the last manga chapter. It was pretty sad to witness the death of a once wide-spanning fanbase, though. Now it's down to very few enthusiasts either here occasionally, or on the Reddit board, Tumblr, and Deviantart, among some small message boards. There seems to have been somewhat of a resurgence, though, with a new phone app since this spring. I never like hentai/yaoi culture for any manga or anime, though.
