1993 Jojo OVA

Part 3 is monster of the week and was also highly experimental at the time as it was a collection of unexplored ideas that ended up becoming the basis for tons of other shonen series. The asspull was the result of a dropped plotline but Araki kept the time stop element because he already planned out the battle early on and really liked it. The OVAs made tons of changes to the source material and despite good direction on the first 3 they're overall considered subpar. Manga is still first choice.
