I'm on the first episode, and so far everything is utterly fabulous:
> the whole 80s sci-fi comedy distopia aesthetic
> that "Hey Boy" dance routine
> that effect when Leona gets reassigned that randomly blows off her clothes
What's the relationship between this and Patlabor? There seem to be a lot of parallels. (In fact, this feels like a mix of Patlabor and The Irresponsible Captain Tylor)

Yeah, Dominion is what I'd consider a more faithful adaption of Shirow's works than say, GitS 95. Just really good stuff. You're going to get more mileage out of this thread on /m/ though than /a/.
just bumping to say I love DTP.

This makes me sad.

Don't feel bad, /a/ has been only getting shittier with the passage of time. You could always wait until the next retro thread that springs up if you want to discuss it here.

I don't care

I've never really found anything concrete on a connection between the two but Leona does remind me of Noa in some ways.
New is pretty nice too. I expected it to be a disaster, but the art style is actually quite nice and it has a similar, if less blatantly 80s, feel to it.

They're virtually the same character, down to the alphonse/bonaparte obsession.
>>159038059
That's the main connecting trait, but Leona is really gung-ho compared to Noa.

Holy fuck, Leona is 23.
