one thing people don't seem to understand yet is that boku no hero is primarily a school manga and not a battle manga. the fights are a tool, but not the main focus. every arc has a lesson. like the tournament, it doesn't exist in favor of the fights and techniques, but the students' learning. with this I don't want to imply that it is better than naruto or whatever, but that the goal is different.

I like the fights more because they are rarer desu. It means we have more personal investment in the heroes coming out on top and it stops the fights from getting stale. It also helps that the powers of many of the heroes are unintuitive and innovative, so it adds to the variety that way too.

In his second fight he lost to Itachi and was put out throughout the rest of Part I, in Part II all he ever did was train Naruto to use a new technique and jobbed in every fucking fight he was in up until his bout with Obito and then his lost the only thing that gave him the advantage was was dubbed "weaker than Sakura" by Sasuke.
