Ushio is dead, but drunk cake Kyou makes up for it.

That would require reworking the entire story so that Ushio's life force wasn't tied to the town like Nagisa's. Just be glad there's the Kyou route in the VN and the OVA.

In one of the art books or something there is a story where Kyou starts to get close with Tomoya again several years after Ushio dies. The story ends before they get into a relationship or anything.
