worth watching or just a NGE imitation?

I dropped it early on.Not horrible but mediocre, I thought. It felt very formulaic and uninspired.

Yea the cake was the most interesting part of the show for me, also. That doesn't speak well of it overall imo. I actually dropped the show when I saw that even her character wasn't going to be done thoughtfully or attentively; it was just formulaic sexual bait as usual.

I like it a lot better than evangelion. None of the characters felt punchable.

It may be obviously inspired by nge but it's the best clone. The ost with the experimental jazz is unparalelled.
It has one of the most emotional deaths I've seen animated and the ending is satisfying.
It's all I hoped Argento Soma would be but wasn't.
