I'm in the complete opposite. Loved the comfy SoL episodes and Diana development episodes and I was a bit indifferent to the plot heavy episodes. Still, the whole series overall was a fun ride.

I wouldn't mind seeing more lore. Akko can fly now, and is a semi-competent witch in terms of transformation magic. It would be cool to see her and her friends doing field work to gain experience. I don't think you necessarily need a big bad either, just have small, self contained arcs that revolve around character backstories and new forms of magic. Now that the Shiny Rod is gone and Akko knows who Chariot is, she has a singular focus: To graduate and become a witch.

I don't think a season 2 needs to be 2 cour either. Just have it be 12 or 13 episodes of comfy witches doing witch things.

Both. I just need some good old healing SoL sprinkled with consistently good world building. If you have an overarching plot that doesn't need a full cour where you alienate all the side (and major!) characters to be fully (and underwhelmingly) fleshed out then all the better. The major strength of LWA is the setting we don't need a high stakes plot about SAVING THE WORLD, though I'm hungry for some substantial social commentary, which inclusions like Andrew reading 1984 or Croix app empire debut alluded to (never went anywhere meaningful...).

I love this show. I love it because it's charming and the characters nice. It's like someone said, I could watch this with my nieces and nephews.

I just want a complete Sucy mindfuck episode that is more than "it was just a dream, guys!... or was it?... oh well, might has been just a dream". Sucy is the perfect character for these kinds of plots, just give it some real impact.

My idea would be to have an episode about familiars, and show Diana's familiar to be a Unicorn. After the professor goes SASUGA DIANA as usual, she'd ask her why a unicorn and not a Snake, and then drop the detail about the Cavendish being healers and Diana being vague about the anser. That alone would hint at something going on with her family.

And then maybe use episode 9 to delve into th history of Luna Nova and who founded it (everything points to "Jennifer"), and show that Beatrice was involved as well, maybe help in it's founding and be a teacher (and also have her involved in the deal with the dragon). That way you can justify Diana knowing the spell to heal the tree in ep2 and learning dragon language in ep5.

Croix's obsession about who's the chosen one and thinking she knows better and they should do it her way messed everything up. It all went to shit because she couldn't accept that it's not all about her. Although to be fair, Chariot was pretty spineless. Chariot should have confronted Croix and talk things over. When Diana ran away, Akko chased her down. When Akko went missing, Diana went looking for her. So the fallout that happened between Croix and Chariot was both their fault.

Yeah, the pacing in this series is shitty. It has great moments but someone really needs to learn editing and pacing in Trigger. Although to be fair, their friendship already has most of the material needed to make it a great development, it just needs editing, proper placing and a few additions like in the first season so that they don't just dump it all near the end.

The search for the 7 words and how it was handled however makes me facepalm. It's gonna need a lot more than editing and trimming to fix that.

Its kinda unrealistic how readily they accept the events that happen, meaning the government and people.

No speculation that its the witches themselves that launched the missile, in order to "put on a show" and improve magics image in the public? Also the part where the rioters just randomly all stop and start "cheering them on" seemed really cheesey, and of course Prime Minister dwarf Pixis who shows up beliving in the witches surprising everyone and shutting up the fat guy and the other detractors was very cliche. This whole episode was cheesey to the brink and had me cringing several times, not that its a bad final episode just really, cheesey.

Ending scene was great though.

A lot of the best crowd funders are like that: they aren't intended to be permanent, they're intended to bootstrap a project or company, taking the place of venture capital basically. It's always the intention that if it does well and the first product goes ok that they'll go elsewhere for more money later (or at least in addition, nothing wrong with doing some crowdfunding too as more of a marketing thing I guess and to give super hardcore fans access to limited stuff they couldn't get normally). I don't think you can just say though that LWA TV didn't ultimately come out of the KS to some extent.
