Dropped plot points, shoehorned characters, bad pacing and misuse of the extended cast really makes me angry. That being said, just like KLK, I love the characters themselves and would like to see a continuation with no stupid drama but Trigger can't exactly write SOL, it's not in their blood.

So far Trigger's best show to me is Inferno Cop, then Space Patrol Luluco, Kiznaiver remains their absolute worst

8/10, I appreciate everything it did. You can tell the people making it fucking loved doing so, I feel their magic in every bit of animation music and writing. It is definitely simple and flawed, but it was fresh every week for me and I enjoyed it for it. It had a satisfying end for the first season and as a show overall it was pretty good, with some genuinely great stuff sprinkled in there. I can't get myself to hate these little witches.

Not that guy, but flashy lights don't make a show. All style is just a thin coat of paint over the writing, it doesn't matter how "cool" and "epic" something is if there's no substance backing it up. The setting is very creative, but the writing just isn't there 90% of the time. Pretty much the same case with LWA.

Dictionary definition of wasted potential. Some many characters unexplored, so many scenarios that could have been but weren't. Early episodes were fantastic. Everything went to shit in the second half. The transition to a more plot-based show could have been good if the plot didn't suck.

The show had an amazing first half and completely shat itself throughout the latter half, not only that but as well animated as the finale was it was still a complete disappointment compared to everything an anything they've done before. I was really hoping Trigger would nail it with this one, but ultimately it fails to satisifiably deliver on any of the points they established in the show early on. The pacing was utter shite, too. If they had consistently stuck with the pace the show had at the beginning, it would've easily been at least an 8 out of 10 in my book, but no, we needed 13 episodes of retarded hamfisted filler bullshit meant to pad out the show's runtime and bolster it's so-called (((HYPE))) only to lead up to a lackluster conclusion that leaves the audience thinking "Where the hell did it all go wrong?". i give it about 7.5/10

most of the episodes were passable or enjoyable, but there were a few that really brought the score down, especially a couple of them being unforgivably terrible that it'd require redoing the entire episode which will definitely not happen

that said, when the show hit its highs, those highs were so outstanding i'd think they were overdosing on drugs

a common problem was pacing and the other problem was cohesion between episodes, as certain material introduced in earlier episodes failed to resurface in meaningful, impactful ways in later episodes leaving me to wonder what the point was of bringing them up

characters that seem like they should be significant were pushed to the side way too much, and though that might be meta for how they aren't as hardcore about subscribing to akko's chariot blogging, this is not really any reason to sweep their characters under the rug as if they don't exist, and unfortunately this impacts sucy and lotte more than it hurt amanda and constanze which is even more sad because they're akko's roommates and yet they seem unfortunately inconsequential to anything

pacing and cohesion are under the umbrella of organization, and it's made more apparent as one progresses through the series as elements of the story seem scattered around the place or consolidated a little too much into one segment where they would rather benefit from being more spread out, because when those elements are presented, they seem rather sudden as whatever hints (if any) are a little too subtle and not in an exotically creative nor clever way, but rather haphazardly, and the last arc doesn't do as much as it should to bring all of those things together

all that criticism aside, despite what it failed to do, it still gave what i feel is a really heartwarming and awesome, if derivative and typical, finale that is moreso enjoyable if you're able to ignore the small criticisms and forget what the show itself forgot to address

It was a device coupled with the Shiny Rod (it was needed for the powerup). It guided Akko by showing her the past of the previous Chosen One. It was used by the previous Chosen One together with the Shiny Rod to obtain a legendary powerup. (On a side note, it could explain why Chariot had superhuman physical abilities even when leylines were cut off) Akko was told that one day she will become worthy of it too and come back.
But the fountain never returned after episode 12 and the Shiny Rod is gone now.

torn between 7 and 8, I did enjoy it though.
Definitely had its slow parts, but hey consider the fact that this show was not primarily made to please you, it's a family/kids show so I can forgive the "filler"/worldbuilding or rather slow episodes. Keep in mind that the staff also had to produce under Netflix code and guidelines so that also could played a part in getting what we did. All in all I know TRIGGER was more capable, and the last episode definitely is more than a testament to that. Its just the guidelines and demographic that bogged it down. All in all its not as bad when you consider that.

i greatly enjoyed the show, i think ill enjoy memories of the threads more but nonetheless i give it a soild 8, music got me pretty hype and the last episode went off in true trigger fashion.

I enjoyed LWA more when it didn't try to force a story in to appease people who said it's boring it has no story, Croix was a fucking shit villain/character.

LWA is at it's best when it's just Akko/Sucy/Lotte getting into some stupid predicament and solving it in the end or having good side character episodes with Akko like the Constanze episode, They are the episodes I loved the most and Trigger made Akko so refreshing to watch I wanted more of it.

I never really felt attached to any characters which is the biggest failing of most Trigger series. Characterization fumbles in a series based on characters and thus ruins most of the immersion. Good animation and music tho.

Id give it a 6/10 based on my enjoyment level. It was just enough to keep me watching and not drop it.

Started good, dipped at episodes 4 to 6, picked up again at 7 and 8, tanked hard at 9, picked up again at 11 to 13, then just stayed pretty okay until the last five episodes.
I've been saying this for the whole run, but the series' biggest fault--apart from trying to do too much at once--is that the episode-to-episode quality is inconsistent.

Its kinda unrealistic how readily they accept the events that happen, meaning the government and people.

No speculation that its the witches themselves that launched the missile, in order to "put on a show" and improve magics image in the public? Also the part where the rioters just randomly all stop and start "cheering them on" seemed really cheesey, this whole episode was cheesey to the brink and had me cringing several times, not that its a bad final episode just really, cheesey.

Ending scene was great though.

+Did I mention this is a pretty fun, light-hearted, earnest show?
