And we really don't know how good Croix and Chariot are. Croix probably didn't have any serious competition in her first year, and in the second year she lost against Chariot, so maybe Chariot was sligthly better than her.

Diana was able to match up Shooting Star, but it was restrained by the chains. Unchained Shooting Star seems fast as fuck.

Unchained Shooting Star > Diana and Akko in Shiny Volley > Chariot in Shiny Volley > Diana in a normal broom = Chained Shooting Star > Chariot > Croix

But we will never know since we never say Chariot or Croix flying at max speed.

If we get a S2, I don't know if I want more focus on the SoL or more focus on the plot.

Like, the SoL stuff was good, but it runs the risk of losing viewer attention if nothing is really happening.
But the plot stuff was just so fucking rushed here and felt empty aside from the last half of the finale.

I feel like they COULD do something good if they made the second season plot focused from the start and had a consistent threat/enemy they could build up to, but then people would complain about the lack of SoL episodes.

I think the remaining 9 Olde Witches could be a big factor to drive a full season since we only really saw 2 of them.

i talked about it in a previous thread, but if if they make a second season i would like that they do this:
-they can make a dark wizard with superiority complex who want to destroy non-magical humans because he believes that wizards/witches are superior but was sealed by a group of witches by a magic mcguffin that is his main weakness but due to recent events the seal was broken and he is free once again but Akko find the magic mcguffin so she became his main obstacle to world domination as the main villiain for season 2, to prevent pace issues, the first episode is to introduce the dark wizard and he make appearances once in a while throughout the season and the three-parter final battle, the rest can be self contained filler episodes.
- for each time Akko fight the dark wizard she become better at magic reaching the point in wich both become equal in power for the final battle.
- they make the dark Wizard both funny and treatening, you know, is capable to make jokes and have a jerk-ish charismatic attitude, but also have a great power and the courage to do evil things with no moral restrains.
-the dark wizard have an obsesion with crows and he have an army of spy crows that let him see what are Akko and her friends doing at all moments.
-the dark wizard have a cult that worships him, but he don't know about its existance until the final episodes when he decide to use them as an army.

I didn't like half on an episode and didn't like how hard Sucy and Lotte were ignored in the whole rescue Diana thing. I understand complains about not all the characters being fleshed out but since they were not the main characters the anime did not need to go in depth with them and I'm okay with that.
Loved everything else.

Yeah I'm conflicted between a 7 to 8 out of 10 too, I think the show was overall fine but the last few eps were pretty rushed and to me had a lot of wasted potential, it could've gone for something different which is what I thought it would do when Akko lost her YAY but they chose the generic power of the friendship ordeal that's been done a million times before already, which I don't thing is necessarily bad either by the way, just not something that great, I think the "rule of cool" definitely helped here in this final episode though, I thought I would be a lot more cynical towards this finale and I kinda was in the beginning of it but stuff like >>158989639 managed to turn it around a bit for me although I'm still unsure as to how I'd rate it
