Gold is just a nice eye colour in general. It's bright and striking, so good taste there.

But I think green stands out more from brown than yellow does. So the dark skin helps the eyes stand out even more, and the green eyes complement the darker skin tone.

My question is why these threads always turn into race baiting?

A tan is seen as a sign of healthiness in Western culture, and sportiness/earthiness in Jap culture. So tan girls tend to be well built, which is generally sexual attractive. They also tend to be genki/tomboyish, to explain why they tan instead of following standard Japanese standards of beauty.

The super dark with bright hair thing is exotic and alien, which is why it's a fantasy anime gimmick. Dark skin is exotic to fairer folk, light hair is exotic to a people who mostly have brown/black hair.

There's also the tie in to early 2000's gyaru culture, which codes for sluttiness/rebeliousness/passion, depending on how nice the viewer feels that day.

And sometimes a character is just from a part of the world with dark skin, and anime same face makes everyone look similar. If they are supposed to be black (and male), Japan will invariably give them nigger lips. It's one of the only time they actually draw lips in anime outside of erotica.

This has nothing to do with niggers, stop making it about niggers, stop obsessing over whether looking niggish is a problem.
