I am long time supporter of Black Clover on /a/ but at times I have been frustrating by pacing and when he added in LN characters with no introduction.
I don't think it's worse than One Piece or BNHA honestly.

Yuno is a nice guy.

It's completely unoriginal and derivative to an almost extreme extent.

It doesn't have a single original bone in its body, and resembles something like Rave Party or those other shonen knock offs from the early 2000 - in fact, it seems like the guy who made Fairy Tail would write manga just like Black Cover on an almost yearly basis, until one actually stuck.

It's fine if you're a young kid in Japan just getting into Shonen Jump, and it's competent in following a tested formula. If you're not that demographic, then there's no excuse for liking it because 20 similar concepts have already been made (and subsequently cancelled because they're shit)
