This. I wasn't a fan of OreImo but watching Eromanga Sensei made me realize just how much worse OreImo could have been.

OreImo had memorable enough characters, decent character designs, and some good comedy. Eromanga Sensei's characters are lifeless husks with over-the-top designs and "humor" that's only funny because of the awful, ham-fisted way in which it's executed. The plot (with its overreliance on retarded coincidences) and character interactions which manage to be both melodramatic and dull are what you'd expect from a particularly lazy hentai. Its defenders have never attempted to seriously defend any of this other than "it's fiction!" or "go back to /v/eddit!", or, most tellingly, "it's popular and selling well, that makes it good!".

Fuck Eromanga Sensei and fuck you.

As someone who hates it, but also watched it - It was so contrived it made me want to hurl. The MC's entire personality was so predictable and trite that every interaction between the MC and loli sister made me congeal and curdle like vinegar and milk.

I have a fetish for incest, but this just made me either physically ill, or cringe myself into a prune depending on the scene. If only I had a fetish for generic and bland one-dimensional characters too. They weren't complete trash writing-wise, but I just couldn't get over how contrived and forced every scene felt. Especially past episode 6

The animation was good though. When she didn't open her mouth Sagiri was cute as well. I'll probably jerk off to any doujins from this series in the future.
