Is this show really that good? It got mixed reviews from certain websites which I find confusing since both sides of the spectrum give poor arguments of how the show was good/bad. I see that its based from a Rumiko Takahashi comic who made Maison Ikkoku but I still have doubts from her since she made Inuyasha as well

Monster of the week, although current incarnation is actually 3 stories per episode. Likable characters, even the bad guys, but it is super formulaic and never goes anywhere because that would eliminate the whole premise. It's (very) light comedy, as noted by an earlier poster, I don't think I'd watch it from scratch, but as a weekly low-investment watch it's perfectly serviceable.
