So I'm not a huge weeb, but I've still watched a good bit of anime in my day. I see a lot of shit about subs vs dubs, and I'm just wondering, why do people who only speak English prefer subs?
I ask because a few full fledged weebs have admitted to me that they only watch subs to seem superior. And also, I watched Space Dandy both subbed and dubbed for example, and the dubbed version is a lot better written. I feel like thats a pretty high grade show, so subs on other shows could be worse. But maybe it was a fluke, I don't know. There's also shows like Black Lagoon where everyone says the dubs are amazing, but really its no better than most other shows.
Anyway, your thoughts? I just want some insight. Be honest now.
