Why is Naru this utterly putrid person who couldn't win the Seta Bowl? Keitarou being turned to a Seta-lite still pisses me off today.

I liked it, it wasnt that Keitarou became Seta-lite to get Naru (which would have been bulshit), its that he found someone to look up to after all the years of not realy knowing what he wanted to do, and at the same time growing up. Its obvious Naru likes old men, so her falling for Keitarou when he started being more majure makes sense as well.
