Absolutely not. Literally every fight after the beginning is the team being attacked by assassins one after the other, and every fucking fight concludes with:

It's the most repetitive part in the series by far, and half the main cast (Giorno, Trish, Fugo) range from bland and uninspiring to underused and uninspiring.

Part 5 is a good part with a great cast, but people who act as though it's the second coming only set new readers up for disappointment.

Also, the second reply betrays how little attention the poster even paid to the part. The team are absolutely not 'amoral sociopath gangsters' and this is displayed constantly throughout the part - Mista holding his fire when an apparent civilian was in front of Pesci, Narancia and Bruno's genuine care for innocents like Trish and their disgust at those who'd betray them, and Abbacchio and Giorno being outright stated by the narrator to be heroic, well-intentioned people who wanted to make the world a better place.

I never said it was the second coming. Part 5 has a weak protag, a weak villain, and the overall plot was pretty weak. But I'm just giving it credit for the positives it DOES have, since that anon explicitly asked for a reason why he should read it. Part 5 has some great Stands and some of the best fights around. Your generalization aside, the battles are fast-paced, enjoyable, and the characters make use of some abilities that are just cool to see in action.

Anything sounds stupid if you boil it down. The format is repetitive but that's because it's a battle manga. The enjoyment is in the individual moments of the fights and the way the characters interact (part 5 has bad guy of the week stand users that actually get a bit of personality behind them, instead of just being a hamfisted reference or otherwise totally one note badguy)

The entire group chills out, half of them dancing to music, as a man is violently and loudly tortured right in front of them. "Heroic" giorno is still someone that cons people out of money or goods, always kills his enemies instead of trying to spare them or escape and who's goal in life at the age of 15 is "murder my way to the top of the mafia"

They're herotic characters, but they're objectively way bigger assholes than pretty much any other jojo part that's a shounen. Either way my point was more about their behavior in fights and specifically their inability to give a fuck that's pretty distinct from other jojo parts that take place in jump (giorno wins most of his fights by almost killing himself, for example)

It really doesn't. In parts 4, 6, 7 and 8 there's plenty of variety in enemies, how the fights take place, the motivations of the fighters and the way the fights are resolved. Part 5 is the same thing presented over and over and over again.

And don't try to shift the goalposts, either. The gang torturing a guy who fucked them all up and nearly killed them is harsh but not uncalled for, Giorno is a thief but draws the line at harming innocents (Look what he did to Polpo) and didn't kill Koichi or Buccellati because he knew they were the only good people he fought, and wanted to become the head of the mafia to make the world a better place.

Sure, the characters sometimes act like dicks, but they're objectively not 'amoral sociopath gangsters' like you claimed they were.

I just think that Part 6 and 8 are particularly brutal with certain deaths and injuries, like with FF in part 6 and the stone people in part 8.
Then again, there were just regular dudes in SBR getting their skulls crushed by Gyro's balls, so it could be coincidence.

And plenty of minor villains achieved plenty of things. N'doul was Jotaro's first serious enemy and left his mark on him, Vanilla Ice managed to kill two protagonists and severely injured Koichi, most of the enemies in 4 came back and served different roles, Ringo Roadagain is what made Gyro finally start taking things seriously, etc. And even if they don't achieve much themselves, plenty of minor enemies are dealt with in unique and funny ways, instead of just being killed one after the other pointlessly and being forgotten.

N'doul was the most difficult and the most important fight Jotaro had in the part before DIO himself. They had an actual conversation, Jotaro was shocked and horrified at his suicide, quietly listened to his final words about DIO, and then buried him as a sign of respect. So this worship is referring to an image that people are worshiping that has 666 as it's number. The Good News of the Gospel is that it's not God's will that any should perish, so if you get saved, it will be as if you never had done those sins, and you are forgiven. Nah JJL is in a seiner magazine so it can show whatever he wants to draw pretty much. Maybe in Stone Ocean, since it was still in a shonen magazine but WSJ was way more lax about gore 15 years ago. And yeah Damo's whole arc was gold, reading it coming out and trying to predict what would happen each chapter was insane. End of this arc. They go home with Rai to get the graft before Jobin gets home, but they're too late and there's a fight over who gets the graft. At the end everyone has to pick a side, and Joshu picks Jobin out of hate for Josuke. I don't think his defeat served any other purpose than to give Jotaro an I idea of what DIO's charisma is capable of, and to give an introduction to the Egypt part. He gained Jotaro's respect only because he wasn't really evil, just blindly following DIO.

The N'doul fight is an important part of Jotaro's development, I'd argue. Before then, every enemy had been defeated with a joke, and most of them had been ridiculous goons like ZZ and Nena. The only serious fight had been J.Geil, and that fight was centered on Polnareff, not Jotaro.

N'doul's a dangerous opponent, and is also the first one (and only one, really) to give any sort of insight as to why people would follow DIO. And he was a perfectly evil guy and even said it himself - the reason he gained Jotaro's respect was because he was impressed by his drive and dedication instead of just being another idiot in it for money or sex.

Jotaro burying him was a pretty somber thing for a shonen hero to do, too, especially when he'd just punched all of his other enemies into a pulp. While Jotaro doesn't wake up at night thinking about N'doul you can't deny that he had more of an impact on him than any of Giorno's enemies did on him, which is the original point I was making.

He can see what's fated to happen 10 seconds before it happens, this is set in stone and can't be changed, even if you try to do the exact opposite you'll still act exactly as Epitaph predicts. To get around this, King Crimson makes everyone and everything in the world except for Diavolo stop existing for up to 10 seconds, effectively erasing it. Since nothing else exists in that time, nothing can affect him thus sparing him from whatever was fated to happen to him and letting him move however he likes. He also sees phantoms showing how people around him were fated to move so he can judge his positioning better. Once the 10 seconds or however long he wanted to erase is up, everything pops back into existence exactly as they were predicted to be as if everything happened normally. So to them they just go from one place to another instantly with no memory of it happening because it didn't, and they suffer the effects of whatever was fated to happen in that time despite it not actually happening. So if someone were fated to get shot and time was erased then they'd go from standing up to on the ground somewhere different with a bullet inside them that was technically never fired and just warped there. Only Diavolo is spared from this since while everything else stopped existing he still existed and got to choose his actions.

I love part 5, it is my favorite part just because I feel it represents Jojo in a much better way than any other part; amazing characters, great fights and the message that the adventure is more important than the results

Part 7 also does a great job at that, which is why I consider it my second favorite part, but either way, back to part 5 discussion

I love Fugo, but Man In The Mirror is...weak. Abbachio does some cool stuff, and his interactions with Giorno are great, but the fight itself dragged a bit and nothing of note really happened, except for the effects of Purple Haze being shown

The only thing that bothered me in anime part 3 is the lack of emotions from Jotaro, he doesn't express much emotions in manga either but at least it feels like he's alive.

There are some things that made Jotaro feel like an autistic asshole with no emotions in the anime, like the general pace of the whole part, his voice (I love it though, especially when he says "ze"), and for some reason DP forgot that, in numerous panels, he's clearly smiling or showing some sort of subtle emotion.

I greatly enjoyed reading it even before the retranslations.

It was like a better paced more thought-out SDC. Araki wasn't just creating Stands unlike Part 3, he was comfortable with them at this point and really got to flex his creativity with the fights in this part.

It's underrated but still has a lot of problems in terms of having the most uninteresting JoJo, other characters dropped in terms of characterization and the worst final fight in the series.

It's by far the most generic. Every fight is the group being attacked by assassins. Every fight is resolved by the hero proving their RESOLVE and then killing them in a manner identically to all the others. Trish, Fugo and Giorno, almost half the team range from underused to blank and do nothing but actively drag the other characters down. Such a bloated cast means most of them only get a couple of fights each. The finale is a clusterfuck, the only good thing to come of it was sleeping slaves.

Never even talks to his companions, and they never talk to him except in silent monologues sucking his dick after he does something. Horrible stand and powerset. Deeply uninspiring.
