Why is it that so many shows get significantly worse in the final stretch of episodes? Is pacing that hard? Especially with any action/drama show, SOL don't seem to be affected by this as much.picture somewhat related

In adaptions, it's the director's fault for not allocating time properly. Watching the final season of Samurai Jack recently made me realize how good direction can fit two episodes worth of content into one episode.
