Great animation, but other than that it's not worth watching

But I can easily understand why it succeeded.

Obviously good animation but season 2 ruined it with all the unnecessary drama and shipping fanservice. It's one of Kyoani's cash cows so I guess they don't have to put that much effort into it.

S1 sucked but S2 was heartfelt and cohesive.

I thought season two was a lot better than the first. The drama of the second season made sense, and it didn't ruin one of the main characters like Rin's woobie drama about muh australia.
