Lupin the Third

There was a Goemon thread earlier today. It didn't take off but I mean, when does a Lupin thread take off?

New movie was way more boring than I thought it would be. Really hasn't been anything good from Lupin III in a long time, a few episodes of Italian Lupin excepted

They just shipped the Jigen movie artbook today,maybe I'll scan it when it get there but it's gonna take a while I took the poorfag shipping.

As for the new movie I really liked it.
it was just pure style over substance,reminded me of the old Samurai flick that I used to watch.

Somewhat on topic, I have seen three Koike movies, two of which are Lupin, and all of them had outstanding art and pretty lackluster writing.
Is this true for the rest of his works, and this guy is an ultimate example of style over substance?

yeah, goemon slicing 40 yakuza with slow guitar playing in the background was great

I haven't seen a lot of the series, but I've enjoyed a lot of what I have seen which is the latest TV series and the two recent movies discounting the terribad smacked together one that is Italian Game. Also Castle of Caligisto. I've seen the Mine Fujiko series and two other movies but I wouldn't put them on that level.
