The Lelouch "hey kill all the Japanese" moment was pretty bad

the entirety of CG was just one big asspulland I love it

MUH

But it made perfect sense. I hate how anything that shakes up a shows plot or changes things dramatically is considered bad writing by /a/.

The thing is is that scene would be perfectly fine with me if they didn't have her magically break the geass when she see suzaku in the hospital, the power of love is bullshit.

Making sense doesn't make it any less plot convenient, which makes it lazy writing, which makes it bad. Deal with it.

It was the writers chickening out of having to write Lelouch making questionable decisions for the sake of his crusade against Britannia. Yes the fact that his Geass could suddenly become permanently turned on one day was already established beforehand but that doesn't change the meaning of the scene. It was when they firmly cemented the fact that Lelouch would always remain a "hero" and never be allowed to stray from that path.

What if geass orders cancel if they conflict with a geass order given to another person?
>>158792551
It's more like she can't physically kill Suzaku, because her body is dying, so the Geass is ineffective.

I don't think so. Lelouch made questionable decisions both before, during and after this incident. The Geass doesn't prevent that. Killing Euphemia and slandering her name was his choice, not an obligation. In any case, I'd say Lelouch is only a hero in the picaresque sense. It's him versus the world, rather than a hero who serves the status quo
