Everything you bring up is true, however, Chiyo's misunderstandings aren't really as detached from reality as many people, mostly shipperfags, make them out to be. Of course she's prone to misunderstand, because most characters are not nearly as upfront with their feelings as she is. Regardless, her and Kiyoshi have their reasons for liking each other. I doubt they'll actually end up together because that seems too normalfag for PS, but it's not like Hana really "knows" Kiyoshi either, they've just done perverted shit together and she gave him advice on Chiyo. That's all there is to it, but some insist that they have a deep, intimate connection when it's largely one sided.

That 'mean thing' that someone wrote about Kiyoshi would say otherwise. Or the fact that she saw the panties on the floor in the room with all of the futons in the room, then they disappeared when Gakuto came. Then they reappeared on Kiyoshi even though she got a text from Hana that Kiyoshi was with Gakuto when it was just the two of them in the room (as far as she knew).

To Chiyo's credit no one seems to ask anyone about anything in this manga, but I don't think Chiyo's misunderstandings are all that 'normal.'

Her ignorance, wholesomeness, and naitivity are a huge part of it. Also, her and Hana have very distinct views of Kiyoshi and parallel what he thinks of both of them, I feel.

Misunderstands are among the manga's primary sources of comedy. Every single character, to some degree, is retarded. So I'd say she's pretty normal compared to the rest of the characters. Though, if any one of these characters were real, they'd be pretty stupid by normal standards.

Honestly I don't know how much more to read through. Part of the reason I hung in so long is it seemed like there was a trail of small victories with lots of pain and suffering between. Which in a way made them feel more significant. But it seems like the current arc is just a long trail of "everybody loses, everything is suffering forever." and it just seems so forced.
