Compressed air is fine for removing dust from figures if you are careful but all it does is blows the dust around your room instead of removing it like a cloth would. For gloves just get a pair of cheap white cotton gloves.

Yes, just be careful with the small parts of the figure like earrings hats and wings. Also be sure to always hold the can in vertical position because the liquid inside it can leave stains on the surface of your figures.

As for the gloves y use cotton gloves, because latex gloves make my hands sweat like a pig.

Yes, it's a cute look but it's neutral at the very least.
It makes me happy that her figma is on the way with its range of expressions, majestic combat scenes aside.
I think the Parfom captures some of that subtlety, but that could just be a product of the style. Speaking of which:
Alter Gwendolyn is 240mm and Parfom Gwendolyn is 140mm, with its base being about 120mm is that lying down pose is any indication. Using its base instead of the glass one could turn out really nice! Yeah, a little Gwendolyn-crazy here.

When I visited there 4 years ago, on the ground floor there's a UFO catcher machine with various old prize figures as rewards. In the back left corner there's a Kureha figure facing away from you. Well, she was there 4 years ago at least. Chances are she'll still be there, as the machine seemed pretty neglected. To be honest, I felt pretty bad just leaving her there, all by herself, but I already owned that figure you see.

The wings on their own are a massive improvement, unless you're blind. The cloth folds around her hip are also another big improvement and the armor. Just look at her knees and skirt. The new ones have more detail than the older.
You can argue about liking the older pose and colors, the base or whatever, but you can't deny that the new one has an objectively better sculpt.

Not sure what is the actual point you're trying to make with the wings. I guess the older ones are more "realistic", but they're basically flat with some detail texture, while on the newer ones every feather is basically a separate piece. And also as another anon pointed out, the newer ones are closer to the original illustration.
As for the armor, you're either blind or retarded. The old skirt is basically flat while the newer one has a border detail, her older armor is the same, with the old one being flat, while the newer armor has extra detail in the form of ridges and the bolts. Just look at her knee armor in the bottom right from the picture you posted.
Again, you can argue that you like some of the stylistic details I mentioned, but the newer sculpt is objectively better and more detailed overall.

I'm going to jump in here. Somehow you're not seeing things that are there on the new armor.

The new dress technically has "more" due to how it drapes over the wings rather than just flowing back.
Basically the new one has 3 sections: part around her body, part draped over wings and the flowing part that's hanging straight down. The old one only had 2 sections: part around her body and the flowing part which was going up into the air.

New one is objectively better by way of level of detail while still being faithful to the art and style, minus the face.

But like an assembly of objectively more talented people not always resulting in a more entertaining work than objectively less talented people, so one might not find the higher level of detail and greater accuracy (minus the face) to strike their fancy.

Old one definitely has its charm in its expression, more realistic hair, less petite body, dynamic pose and base.

I started with UBW anime, then Zero, then UBW S2 and have only read the HF route for now. As long as you have half a brain the chronology is no problem. But really a good figure is a good figure, you don't have to have sentimental value.
