How does Megumi completely overshadow all the other girls in just a few seconds?
Utaha a best. A BEST.
Eriri a shit. A SHIT.
I don't get how this show is as good as it is.
because she's not an annoying brat like Eriri or gloomy and acid-tongued like Utaha
Utaha in sexual predator mode is pretty hnnnng, but still not on Megumi's level
Because Megumi is the one. The other girls aren't. Despite the harem setup, the series is very straightforward about this. Megumi is the waifu for Tomoya, regardless of anyone's personal taste.
Eriri > Megumi > Izumi > Michiru > Utaha
Tomoya abandons his game and makes Megumi cry so that Eriri and Utaha's game can be the best it can possibly too. He does this even after Megumi tells him that means their game can't be the best it could possibly be.
They behaved like cunts, but I don't get why they're obliged to sit around and play with some amateur instead of advance their careers. He wasn't going to dick them or anything.
He made them the artists they are now. Without him they'd be nobodies, but as soon as they got the chance to be famous, they threw him aside and crushed his desire to be an artist. If Megumi wasn't there he'd be a depressed wreck.
I can't blame Utaha and Eriri for taking that offer. You see a gap to get into the industry and you jam yourself the fuck into it man.
The way they're looking at it is like they're never going to see each other again, which makes sense it might feel like that if you're a teenager/
Utaha's first LN is prematurely cancelled and she never finds mainstream success.
Eriri doesn't get the motivation she needs to reach pro level and stays a doujin artist at best.
They wouldn't be as good as they are now. Iori said it himself, rouge en rouge's game would have won normally, but thanks to how Tomoya got the two to improve their skills, they won.
I've said this multiple times, but my biggest problem with this is how easily they get back onto good terms.
Tomoya forgives them and blames himself, and Eriri and Utaha act lack they did nothing wrong after that and still act like best buddies.
I thought the betrayel was a good development, but it was wasted. Regardless of who was right, the conflict should have been more drawn out and there should have been tangible damage to the relationship, even after being "forgiven".
I wouldn't even care about them being on good terms if they stopped showing up, but even after the betrayal their screentime remains the same. At least Megumi has the sense to hold a grudge, and depending on how the anime portrays it her breaking off her friendship with Eriri might be even better than the original.
Hopefully in the anime they do an origonal ending Tomoya doesn't cuck to them. Or at least doesn't cuck as hard as he does in the LN.
And I agree about the screen time thing. It's just begs the question "What was the point of the betrayal from a narrative perspective". IF everything is going to be resolved neatly without to much consequence (excluding megumi) then why do it? You might as well have kept the status quo. Now there is a sudo status quo but everyone is unsatisfied and hates the characters.
Well, in the LN, Eriri continued to get screentime because of her fight with Megumi, but in the anime, it's apparently wrapped up in a way that wouldn't drag on to a hypothetical S3 (don't quote me on this). Without Eriri and Megumi making up you don't V10 either, which is Utaha's volume, so who knows what they'll do with the anime with how S2 has an open ending. Maybe they'll do a S3, maybe they won't.
Given how aside from Megumi, Utaha and Eriri are the only ones selling merchandise, I doubt that. But if what I heard about how they handled the friendship breaking is true, then I find it hard to believe they'll follow the source as is, so maybe they'll take advantage of the anime's third person viewpoint and dedicate some screentime solely to Eriri and Utaha rather than having them barge into the new circle's screentime.
>people who like Eriri and Utah still exist
For what purpose
Yeah, it has the problem a lot of series with inconsequential drama, where characters do shit but it doesn't really go anywhere and things gets resolved as simply as they fell apart. Megumi isn't special because she holds a grudge, she is NORMAL because she knows actions have weight.
It supposedly breaks in a way that won't drag on to a S3. So they either break it off on a better note where they've accepted each other or they break it off on such a bad note that they'll never be friends again.
>read some generic jrpg story
>HOLY SHIT IM LITERALLY SHAKING FROM ITS AWESOMENESS MY LIFE WAS BLOW AWAY ITS SO GOOD HOLYSHIT WHAT
Fucking stupid scene. Even my favorite jrpg story won't get me or anyone in this world that kind of reaction. No fucking way.
>look at pic of other people that copy your art style
>HOLY SHIT IM LITERALLY SHAKING FROM ITS LIKENESS MY LIFE WAS BLOW AWAY ITS AS GOOD AS MINE HOLYSHIT WHAT
Who give a fuck that other can draw like you? Who the fuck does this delusional fucking amateur think she is? I mean even Van gogh wouldn't give a fuck if other can draw like him. Drawing is not a fucking Olympic competition.
I can't stand this over the top bullshit creator's pride stuff. Gotta reread the doujin arc of genshiken to wash my eyes off this shit.
The worst part of all this drama is that its rendered absolutely pointless by future events. There was literally no reason to do any of this, other than to make sure that Megumi kept her place as the best girl by making everyone else horrible.
But they are not. Is everything black and white in your world? It's a given Megumi has to win so she will be the chosen girl when all is said and done, but the author isn't making the others horrible in the process. If he really wanted to do that then there's no point to develop, flesh out, and make them sympathetic.
It's scary people didn't accept Megumi winning in the first place, Even if you didn't read the source material it is pretty obvious.
I can not stop liking Utaha's meat.
I am but I knew Megumi would win regardless.
Dark Megumi. I like it
Utaha > Megumi > Michiru > Izumi >>> shit > Akane > Eriri
Gottah keep them cute girls to put on the covers I guess.
Sucks though, I guess that explains still being friends after that bullshit. I really would like to see how the series would have turned out if we got the story the way it was intended. Would like to see some tomoya revenge or some form of retribution against Utaha and Eriri.
WA2 wasn't even amazing. It was basically a soap opera. Which is partly shown in Saekano. And Saekano is already impressive in itself because it tackles something larger like creative ability rather than revolving around who loves who. So, I don't even know what you're talking about.
I like Akane desu. She's voiced by WA2's best girl.
Not very far. All they've done is replace this scene with a date.
Why even waste time on Eriri and Utaha when just a bit of Megumi blows them away?
>pour your heart and soul into your galge project
>include members from your HS and get them acknowledged from big corporations
>said members ditch you for the big bucks immediately and leave you with lukewarm words of consolation
>stuck with boring bland worst girl to boot
Being Tomoya is suffering
She surpasses everyone except Eriri.
>She surpasses everyone except Utaha
FTFY. Eriri is the worst.
Utaha is a thieving bitch that stole what Megumi deserved.
Utaha can easily overpower him if she wanted. She just needs to make sure there's no cockblockers around.
What was the point of the cousin?
I will be so goddamn hyped if s3 is happening. Muh vol 11 scenes would be animated.
So S2 was a mess, right? Too many things were rushed or poorly directed. The hyped up scenes from volume 6 and 7 didn't do the LN material justice. And now we have an original ending next episode. Like really?
Everything wrong with S2 can be summed up in the last two episodes. If you remove those two, S2 is a masterpiece. The problem with V7's adaptation wasn't that they rushed it, it's that they went way too slowly and adapted the extremely unpopular Girls Side side story. The two girls' betrayal hurt so badly in the LN because it was so swift and out of nowhere and you could see his reaction to it immediately. When you drag it out to this extent so much impact is lost, especially when you have an awful character like Akane.
S2 ended at episode 6. Best 6 episodes ever.
I will bite, just because I want to post more Utaha, best girl.
Three lines. THREE FUCKING LINES
And it's enough to make me hyped for next week. After two catastrophic worst episodes.
Why is it impossible to write a good arc for Eriri? She brings down every scene she appears in and it's only because of Megumi that this show is still floating.
