So, I recently caught up with Part 8.

Is it okay that I really don't like Part 8 Josuke?
Like, I think I'd put him as one of the worst Jojos
He just doesn't seem to have any personality. Jotaro is a shitty one note, but at least he has a note.
Soft and Wet is a cool stand and all, but the user is just such a nothing character.
I guess that may be part of the point considering his weird being, but I don't feel like that excuses how boring he is as a Jojo.

I kinda agree
I enjoy his quirkiness and how he interacts with other characters but I don't care for him as much as I did say Johnny or even fucking Jonathan.
Again, design and interactions (especially with yasuho) are great but I care about pretty much every other part 8 character more than gappy.
I mean, even Kira and josefumi are better characters by themselves.
Kinda want twin Jojos now.

What's supposed to be the twist in part 8? Is this alternate universe shit ever going to connect to the old universe shit or is ever part in a vacuum? Are all the Jojo parts just one big autism dream from a later part Jojo who is comatose and bed ridden in the year 2525?

The SBR universe and old universe will never connect mate, there is no grand overarching story besides the Joestar spirit and the quest for justice. Part 6 was the end of the original continuity so he could keep writing JoJo but not have to deal with an extensive canon. SBR and JJL wouldn't have worked the way he wanted them too in the old universe without feeling forced. Every Part is written first and foremost as it's own story in a vacuum before considering it's place in a wider canon.

Josuke must say his final goodbyes to Yasuho as he uses Soft And Wet Bites The Dust to revert himself back to Josefumi and Kira who have to use their Killer Queen and Soft And Wet to outsmart jobin.
Little does jobin know, tsurugi has used paper moon King to disguise Joshuu as Kira.
As jobin kills the disguised Joshuu in a heroic sacrifice, Kira and josefumi get the upper hand and use both plunder and ignite to send jobin burning into the Earth's core

Its revealed that Yasuho was impregnated by Josuke earlier on, and she is now carrying the child of both Kira and Josefumi even though josefumi (and josuke, the fusion of these two previously) are dead.
Kira says he'll find the perfect island for him and Yasuho to raise their child on, he sails away and dies of a cold 2 weeks later.

What exactly did Araki mean about the stands in part 4? The one where he's talking about people think stands in it are weak.
But they're more focused on mental and emotional attacks.
And that they're based on the users' flaws, or something like that.

They're sort of flaws and strengths at the same time, but it doesn't apply to all of them. It's more about their personality in general. Like for Hazamada, he wants to rape his crush or whatever and Surface gives him the ability to create a subservient copy of anyone he likes. In theory he should be able to get what he wants now but like he said, although it's subservient it still has her personality and he couldn't bring himself to do it. A lot of Stands in 4 onwards turn a weakness into a strength, but exacerbate other weaknesses. For Kira, Killer Queen lets him get away with his crimes 100% of the time but this also exacerbates his inherent cockiness. He's spent so long getting away with whatever he wants that he actively puts himself into worse situations because he thinks fate is on his side. Having a Stand gives you extraordinary power and turns one weakness into a strength, but you still won't get anywhere if you don't put in the effort to work on your other weaknesses.

Here is a question anons. Im on part 4, just got to the first fight with Killer queen, which was fucking crazy. But I gotta ask, what was the point of Kira cutting his hand off? All I see it as is a way to give Josuke a method to chase him by fixing it. Also am i the only one who finds aside from pt 2 the first half of every part is kind of lame and the only reason to watch is to get to good the good stuff in the second half when shit kicks into high gear?

You know what, I thought of that right after I posted that. This part has had alot of clever tricks like that. It integrates plot points into the narrative in such a natural way. Like how the Cinderella stand served to further Yukako's character arc but at the same time switch Kira's face. Araki really came into his own in this arc.

Why is Part 8 Killer Queen such a slut? Part 4 Killer Queen at least covered his crotch with a skull emblem but this one is just showing off his bulge to the whole world.
