It's all about match-up too. Geno would never die 99.9% of the time but was matched vs her literally only counter. Believe it or not powerlevels aren't linear all the time.

It's like how Gate of Babylon is super duper broken but can be countered only and exclusively by UBW and even then only by needing Gilgamesh to be MUH PRIDE MONGREL REEEEE for it to be able to counter it in first place.

monsters got buffed and nearly killed 2 girls, only happened on that floor and is never brought up again. yeah it had nokko motivating them to fight, but the random demon things suddenly killing was just another way to force a death. mel had no reason to follow bell. pechika should have just turned mel into a fish.

In terms of posing a risk pfle should have been taken out long before any of the other girls as the item would have been gotten eventually.

But yeah things always sort of make sense and can be justified, but the point is things always line up perfectly so that its justified to kill off 90% of the girls when it doesn't have to.
