Meruem BEGS Palm to take him to Komugi and he finds her sleeping and WAKES her up. Of course she is going to say she wants to stay with him, but he went through all the trouble to find her and put her in the situation where she wouldn't say no, knowing that he would be killing her. Dramatic and emotional , sure, but fucking stupid if he cared about her life like we are supposed to believe.

Are you seriously trying to imply it was emotional blackmail? Komugi isn't aware of what he did though, so that interpretation doesn't hold up.
Also while he clearly cares about her life, he also respects her as a person free to do whatever she wants. If you don't see the contrast between this and how he initially believed he had a right to life or death over others, i can't imagine what else you missed in that arc.

Meruem wouldn't have forced her to stay if she had wanted to go away. She wanted to stay as much as him, because he was the only one who appreciated her (which is weird, considering she's a genius that found a bug and a counter bug in a traditional, probably centuries old, game). As deppressing as it is, Komugi probably felt her life wouldn't have any meaning after the King's death, it's romantic in a sense.

I'm saying that BECAUSE she isn't aware of what he is/has done there would be no reason for her to say no or try to leave and he KNOWS that. HE was the one who learned the value of human life thanks to her so it would have been much more impactful, despite him wanting to see her in his last moments, if he had kept his distance and gave her a silent goodbye instead of KILLING HER FOR NO REASON besides his own selfish desires. Like I said, it's dramatic and romantic gave your heart a boner or whatever the fuck you felt, but don't tell me you can't see how him killing Komugi of all fucking humans doesn't undercut his character arc just a fucking little.

Here is a really simple version of what I'm trying to say, read it slow.

Komugi teaches Meruem that human lives have value. His entire character arc is learning and understanding this. He is then dying and decides to not only kill a human, but kill the human who teaches him the value in human life. If he didn't lay in her lap, she would have otherwise continued to live her life. He killed her unnecesarily just to speak to her for a bit. That is selfish.

Now take your time with this one and really think.

By saying "kill a human", i can see you believe he suddently started sacralising human life, something he explicitely demonstrates to be wrong: he only judges some individuals have value and that the species has a right to exist, not "now i think killing is bad!". Did you miss the entire thing about the selection or are you just this fucking stupid?
