I'm actually a little disappointed that they introduced all the new family members. I thought it was moving toward wrapping up with a game against the president. At least a Kaiji tissue box thing where she loses and the tone changes a bit.
I'm really enjoying it and I think this arc will be a lot of fun, but I got blue balled on finally seeing a game with the president. Just hope they don't carrot and stick it for too long, this isn't a 100 chapter series.

Well the series had a deadline of ending at vol.4 if sales didn't do well apparently. We know the series end up selling extremely well so it makes sense he would try to keep extending it. I think the difference is in the former you're only betting your life, in the latter there is usually a monetary value associated with the action. It could just be that the intention behind the game matters more than the similarities. I wouldn't consider a number of life or death theme manga to be gambling they don't really "feel" like them. Heck, Alice in Borderland has more in common with saw then it does with gamble fish. And aside from Yu-Gi-Oh it's the only series listed where people aren't competing for money of any kind. But series 0 Yu-Gi-Oh is very much so gambling.
