I really want an anime with both of them but older now. I kinda miss good male/female MC pairings. Most series are either sausage parties or girls only - at least regarding the two mains. There are some m/f series of course but they usually have beta males and super special females who are either mysterious and passive or way more powerful than the MC. I just want two very good friends or lovers who are more coequal.

On your first point, shoujo and josei have a lot of series where the guy steps up to the plate, but then they fall into a whole different dynamic which gets irritating.

Maybe Kaguya is one of those coequal manga, but even there it feels pretty lopsided.

I wish too. It was more like the Trigger style I know and want than LWA. Not saying LWA is bad, but it's not my cup of tea and it didn't even sell well so they'd be better of making something like Klk, Luluco or TTGL again. LWA was written by that other guy though, so that's part of the reason why it's different from the others.

In NewTypes January issue all it said was "that" project by "that" director was moving forward.

Guess it's that. He wanted to do a new original, I think he somehow compared it with TTGL if I remember correctly but didn't say anything else.
It will probably be announced during fall or something. Maybe even summer but I think this might be a bit early for such a small studio.
