Tomino's movies are really something else. His style is so much more impactful in a supercondenced form. Too bad that it's just so unusual that people who encounter it for the first time just can't keep up with it and most of them just give up.
That one interview where he is like "I guess I couldn't become a movie director after all" really breaks my heart.
