Newfags won't give a shit about this anime, so there won't be an increase in viewers and thus discussion participants at all.

Please stab yourself to death.

I'm alright with that. All they would have are questions anyway with no new insights and I've spent 13 weeks discussing the shit out of this anime and a few weeks after it was over.

>"deep"
same formula evangelion used.
>>158412683
Calling it meaningless pseudo-symbolism doesn't actually make it meaningless pseudo-symbolism.
It the things symbolise something with meaning, then they are neither meaningless nor pseudo-symbolic.
How can you have a problem both with the audience having to think and piece together the messages through their own effort (as opposed to being force-fed them through character dialogue), and the notion that a show is deep?
In your opinion, what are some "deep" shows that do not demand the viewer to put in some effort on their own part to fully understand everything?
Would you be the evil girl's sensory deprived sex slave?
Best episode? Best episode.

It's a shitpost, low quality. The symbolism is pretty far from meaningless. But not a lot people here have done their due on this. We had speculation. Not enough. The director had to come out and say, oh, this psychoanalysis, I meant it. Our speculation was as good as it's gonna get. All the meaning is confirmed and affirmed. But the director shouldnt have had to do that, only because the audience didn't do him justice and appreciate his work with real attention. A shame. Truth to told, the story and direction are not as disciplined and experienced as some of the established guys. Yuniko, the first writer, she can make great characters, but not plot. Hisaya, the second writer, is a regular at family drama. This was what he got. A man has his limits, he can't do everything (even though the director himself probably worked on almost everything from the top of project planning to low level in-betweens). He had to delegate to the people and use the resources available, which were limited, for a new director like him. But it's exactly the state of undisciplined that made the work special and novel. I think it's legitimately experimental in that it demonstrated even if you have great ideas and philosophies and have an autistic producer with fuck you money, you still need to find the right writers and helpers to put the story in shape. The ideas alone are scattered pearls. Stringing them together and presenting a digestible package is what a director does. There were a lot that have been experimented in the work. All will be helpful for their future.

Weand with "we" I mean the few anons that actually know shit about psychologyalready speculated that this was partially based on jungian psychoanalysis before the end of the show.
>>158416661
As much as I like 3 I've always felt like people only put it on top because it's the most straightforward action episode in the whole show.
>>158418195
That would be episode 8.
