I think they might try to omit the whole political takeover arc. This might be how they try to do it.

Since Isayama's been explaining some old stuff in the manga, I hope he someday tells us how Zeke did that to Connie's village. I don't care if it's something as simple as dumping his spinal fluid in the town well. I just want to know.
