My advice would be to get a friend to watch it with, anon.
Commenting on the anime as you watch it helps make it seem less long and motivates you both to go through all these episodes.

The first arc is genuinely great. The rest is whatever. But there isn't another anime quite like it, so it's worth watching for the sake of uniqueness.

Dont waste your time. Its one if not the most overrated show in existence that receives praise by people who desperate to appear knowledgeable. Its way too drawn out and the diplomatic as well as combat strategical aspects are executed amateurishly at best. One could claim that its worth the watch for the character interaction but thats up to debate. I wouldn't recommend watching 110 episodes for a single aspect when the rest is dogshit. Quite frankly, this is one of those shows that are pointless is anime form.

It's good. Don't get into the hype of "bestest anime ever" it has problems, it's dry, most characters are one note, etc.

But if you can handle the dryness and the odd pacing at times, it's definitely a show that's worth your time. It's well put together the plot is strong and the overall story is decent and the overall theme is done well (it's not what people think though)
