To be a seasonal waifu literally means that she only appeared in a single season. Megumin is NOT a seasonal waifu since her anime got 2 seasons.

This is a FACT. All "seasonal" waifus on /a/ appeared in exactly 1 (one) season and then were never seen again. THAT is what it means to be a seasonal waifu.

There are some exceptions to this rule, of course.

If you're waifu originally appeared in a manga and/or LN, which was then adapted to an anime, she is NOT seasonal, even if the anime only got one season. However, the manga MUST be ongoing for this to apply. If the anime adapted from the manga and/or LN covers the entire manga/LN, and the manga/LN is finished, then you're waifu IS seasonal.

If you're waifu was in an anime and one or more OVAs were released, then you're waifu IS NOT seasonal. Although she didn't appear in more than anime, she appeared in multiple "seasons" so to speak, and thus is NOT seasonal.

If you're waifu appeared in an anime which was later remade, even if the remake only covers the same story line as the original anime, then she IS NOT seasonal.
