Not true. Eriri left him for a while and Tomoya was hurting, but more than fine. He was determined and went into full otaku mode converting some school mates by acting like a happy-glee otaku. He was getting picked on, abused, and made enemies because he did that. His grudge being left by by Eriri is not the cause for his crappy life at school, but Tomoya's consequences of his own decision and action.
