Just realizing that the stamps behind Kino show Ti and young Shissou, looks like we'll be seeing them in the new adaptation

While the director doesn't warrant much excitement. It isn't a series that needs anyone flashy long as it can adapt the source material well. Lerche's in-house art style is great and they aren't a bad studio. If a nobody studio could make a classic, granted under an extremely talented director, then I believe this has no reason to fail.

Baka tsuki is peer reviewed which helps but is about 3-5 months inactive. Unturned strings plans on translating all. He is active NOW. But he translates it from Korean and is a Canadian that is retarded when it comes to guns soon ya. What do we do? Meme at shigusawa till he gives us official english LN releases?

In theory, it's peer reviewed, yes.
In practice, there's a lot of unchecked weirdness floating around; in particular, the literal translation from Japanese, which uses way more present-perfect than English, is jarring.
